What a gut health practitioner eats in a day 🩷🦠🍽️

Every day is a bit different but for the most part I’ve been doing:
🥥 1 fermented food ( is my morning go to)
🥩 75-90g of protein per day (in an ideal world I would intake 100-120g 🙃)
🥗2-3 servings of veggies (this is harder on days I don’t have a big salad for dinner which I do every other day for the most part)

Breakfast:
- salmon with coconut rice from
- raspberry protein shake

Breakfast is always a meal I try to get in 30-40g of protein in because I eat immediately after my workout so I’m starving lol AND having a bigger meal is able to hold me over 4-5 hrs. Not thinking about food during the work day because you’re perfectly satiated >>>>

Unless I’m in the mood for eggs, my breakfast looks a lot like dinner. Dinner-esque meals for brekky = better for your blood sugars. When compared to traditional breakfast options dinner is typically much higher in protein and lower in starchy carbs 🩸🎢

Lunch:
- sugar free protein açaí bowl with gluten free granola (split this with tino) 🫐

Dinner:
- Korean bbq ground turkey with stir fried veggies from 🫛

This day is a pretty typical on the go day where I worked from the office instead of from home. But to be honest, every day looks different. Personally, I’d rather adapt my healthy eating to my life and not the other way around. The only thing I really try to control is overall protein intake, the rest I just go with the flow.

Continuous use of laxatives can interfere with the natural functioning of the digestive system. The bowel muscles may become lazy or weakened over time, relying on laxatives to stimulate movement rather than functioning on their own.

2️⃣Changes in Bowel Structure:
Prolonged use of laxatives may cause changes in the structure of the intestines, making them less responsive to normal stimuli for bowel movements. This can result in a decreased ability to have bowel movements without the assistance of laxatives.

3️⃣Fluid and Electrolyte Imbalance:
Some laxatives work by drawing water into the intestines to soften stool and stimulate bowel movements. Prolonged use of such laxatives can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances, which can further impair normal bowel function.

4️⃣Rebound Constipation:
After stopping laxative use, the body may experience rebound constipation, where the bowel becomes even more sluggish than before. This can lead individuals to resume laxative use to alleviate constipation, perpetuating the cycle of dependency.

5️⃣Psychological Dependence:
Long-term laxative use can also lead to psychological dependence, where individuals feel anxious or unable to have a bowel movement without the aid of laxatives. This can contribute to ongoing reliance on laxatives for bowel regularity.

👈🏽Left: Passionate about wellness, working out like a nutzo, always opted for the “cleanest” meal options , struggling with gut issues with no clue why, confused as to why I was feeling and looking the way I did if I was technically doing the “right” things

👉🏽Right: Still passionate about wellness but with less stringent approach, lifting most days of the week with minimal cardio, opting for clean eats 75-80% of the time and heavily enjoying the other 20-25%, bloat-free regardless of what I eat because my gut health is on lock, happy with how I look because I now know what I need to do/eat in order to have the physique that I do
