P.S. In my 47th year I started something I've wanted to do for the last 14 years. Actually, I think it's been longer but the birth of Pride Socks, was the push for this- inspirational speaking! I've had the greatest pleasure of speaking so far at Soul Cyle, Dell, Visa, The Spurs, MAYA Consulting, and HEB Digital office with Southwest Airlines coming through next week!

A life time of being raised hearing in the Deaf culture, teaching special education for 12 years, becoming a mom and losing my mom during covid, and running my own business has given me the strength and insight to help empower people through storytelling. Never doubt yourself or your story! Together, we can and will achieve greatness.

At the end of last year, I decided I was going to pursue one of the original reasons I started Pride Socks and that was to be an inspirational speaker. Little did I know then, I needed the 14 years of opportunities, growth, business experience, event planning, meeting and engaging with all the amazing HUMANS possible, selling at hundreds of events across the US, forming lifelong relationships, attending mind blowing events (both big and small), and most importantly, learning who I was, where I came from and how that shaped me and the business as a whole.

Since then, I’ve spoken at , , , , , , MAYA Consulting, and with on the horizon next month. All of this is a dream come. YOU are a dream come true.

We all have a story, one that makes us unique in how we see and interact with our friends, family, coworkers, community and the world at large. Never doubt your story. Listen to your inner voice and allow your story to empower yourself and those around you. You will be amazed how the world unfolds when you listen to someone’s story and share your own. You see yourself in them and them within you. There is so much power when you let love in. It heals.

I turn 48 at the end of this month and I feel like I am just beginning. Thank you for sharing your stories with me, supporting Pride Socks and allowing me to run a business with YOU. You are my reason and without YOU, I would not be here.

The fearless crew just showed up.

We spent a week in San Diego last week, it was truly amazing. Encinitas holds a special place in my heart and I think it always will. My older brother lived there for 20 years, then my other brother and one of my sisters. Years of building memories in that city created a need for me to always go back, even though they moved over 10 years ago.

I’ve always told Moxie I will hold her so long as she ask me to. It’s that part of me that doesn’t want her to grow up, even though I embrace all her growing stages yet I know there will be a time too soon where she won’t need me to.

In this photo, we went on a hike and sure enough, 1 min in, she asked. It was great until we got to all the hills and steps, then it became challenging.

Yet those physical challenges truly represent the growth I’ve had to make as a person to step up and into the role of motherhood.

No one warns you how hard mothering is and can be. No one warns you if you want to break parenting cycles you will be parenting yourself as you parent your child and how hard that is, emotionally. How much it challenges you on levels you never knew existed.

Yet, I will climb any mountain and take on any challenge with her and my partner by my side. Mothering is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever accepted in my life and it is also the one that I am most in love with. Life changes everyday. We change everyday. And with that, I am so proud to embrace this life as a mother, partner, business owner, sister, daughter, inspirational speaker, and all the other hats I need to wear amongst those changes. I am proud to be me.

Meet Frankie- “I am a current music education major and pole vaulter at the University of Mississippi. I love anything that involves music, sports, performing, and getting the chance to wear a statement outfit. My life can be hectic at times, but having so many areas of passion and pursuit always allows me to move on when times get tough, and look ahead to the next performance, and competition.
