Fish on Film

The one and only, Austin Anderson, with his new PB AND Ladybird Lake record 71.10lbs... The biggest buff ever caught in the Austin Area, and a true fish of a lifetime.

After a heavy prebait on Friday, and a slow session on Saturday, Austin found himself reluctantly returning this swim on Monday with low hopes. With a simple goal of not blanking, he manages to tempt this monster within the first 45 minutes of his session (tempted by none other than on the hair). He sent me a message saying he had an absolute giant on the line and I had a feeling it was this exact fish, the big buff ladybird is famous for. As soon as I heard what was in the sling I got down to the lake as fast as possible, and had the awesome chance to capture this moment.

This was my first time ever shooting slide film, which is notoriously harder to get a correct exposure with. It was super nerve wrecking to be trying it out on such an important capture, but it was the only roll of film I had on me... needless to say I am very pleased with the results 🔥 Massive congrats again bro, can't think of a
more deserving angler

Golden Hour Buffalo 🌅 Right after
we just got done chatting with our neighbor about lobster the alarms start screaming! Martha grabs the rod and after an intense fight she lands this stunner 🎣

Summers at Emma Long 🏕️ I was hanging out on the bank with Austin on one of his recent guide trips when one of the craziest things happened. The neighbor in the campsite next to us walks over and offers to cook us some lobsters! 🦞 We say yes and he comes back with a full tray of seafood he flew in from Maine! Easily the best food I've ever had on the bank 😂

Hello everyone!

Wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. For those of you that don’t know, about a year ago I began documenting my angling journey through film. Up until now I’ve been posting my content solely on Instagram, however I wanted to begin sharing here for those of you exclusively on Facebook. The idea for this page is for you to feel as if you’re joining me on these adventures. There will be plenty of pictures of fish, but there will also be photos of where my fishing takes me (Landscapes, wildlife, behind the scenes, etc…). To better give an idea of what you can expect, I have attached some of my favorite photos from over this past year.
