🤓Beauty products can be overwhelming when it comes to finding the right one for you.
🤓Hairstylists are not trusted as they once were bc of what we are sold from beauty brands. Overtime I have learned “the script” and can’t give into a brand unless I can try it first.
🤓This is why I advocate beauty minimalism to encourage less consumption for less waste and harm from beauty products. Here is how to approach new products when your in the market for new looks:
💕1. Never buy more than two new products per month: It takes a while to really see the results of one so even two can be too much to learn if a product is right for your hair. If your hair had feelings like your face you would notice results quicker but unfortunately it can take a few trial and practices before learning if a hair product is right for you.🫡
💕2. Buy quality products: Quality ingredients and packaging are not cheap to produce. Many low cost products promise organic solutions but really it’s just one ingredient that is organic mixed with several toxins. It’s pretty obvious which products have more toxins bc they are mass produced w ingredients that are quicker to make. Quality also involves packaging and how it is shipped.😉
💕3. Proper use: Use and apply as needed. Sometimes we over use products thinking we need more of it for better results which can weigh hair down or cause allergic reactions leading to buildup. EXAMPLE: If you produced too much oil and apply too much styling but wash your hair rather than your scalp you could be well on your way to building dandruff. 🫣
💕4. Try NO-HEAT styling: You’ve seen it & it’s a time saver! Every hair type can practice no heat styling w very little product. It may be a longer adjustment if your hair is transitioning from regular chemical and heat styling but it is possible.😎🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

☀️Another Summer another Blond👱🏼♀️ Rather than adding solutions to my bleach I add a post mask treatment. Adding solutions sometimes lowers peroxide concentration by 10%, that 20vol is now a 10vol. It’s worth it if you haven’t build speed w slicing to avoid overlapping, over processing and another overhead expense. The point is there is something for everyone. I have discovered PRACTICES that help minimize use of products & heat to save your hair. This all started from menopause when my hair began shredding.
