Did you know today marks Women Veterans Recognition Day? This day commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which granted women the right to permanently serve in the regular armed forces. Though not yet recognized nationally yet, Texas signed this day of honor into law in 2017.
