I’m always trying to find the balance between professionalism and being authentic on social media . Showing up as a photographer/business owner, mother, wife, human lady with interests and anxieties, in real life AND on social media is complicated… and sharing a shiny caption with you about how everything is great for me and I’m perfect and my life’s flawless.. no, just NO 😅2023 was the year that I thought I’d get my photographer ✨mojo✨ back. My youngest is 2.5 now and I’m finally starting to feel like Jordan again. I thought I’d dive in headfirst, take on a lot of sessions.. say yes to all the things that felt right and LIVE MY LIFE, MAAAN. But really all that “hustling” (I do not support “hustle culture”, ya’ll ) left me feeling a little drained and not present and maybe more lost than when I started 2023… professionally and at home. 2024 for me, is for healing and growth and more heart following and less worrying about what everyone else is doing. It’s intention and slowing down more. .. It’s less words in my instagram captions because people don’t read anymore, Jordan 😂 I will never stop being grateful to the humans that have helped me grow this business, the ones that repeatedly come back, share my name or just email me after they receive their gallery sending me a Thank You. I hold you all so close to my heart (seriously, it is so personal to me and I love you all, dearly). We’re all going to have a new year filled with light and love, I swear you guyyyyss (bless you if you read this far, you truly DO deserve all the good things 🥲😘)
How can you have quiet and intentional moments of connection with your partner on your wedding day, you ask? (No one is asking me this but that has never stopped me from adding my opinion 😂). ✔️first look ✔️private vows ✔️eloping and telling no one I’m partial to that last one but the other two also work well.. your day goes by in a BLINK. Make sure you’re setting aside some time for just the two of you!
Cece in her grandparents greenhouse is marrying my love for plants and senior portraits and I’m not mad about it. Do we talk about the fact that I’ve been photographing Cece and her brother since they were little orrrr am I aging myself? 🫣
Sunflower sessions coming soon 🌻 my dream for years has been to plant large patches of flowers for my summer sessions.. this year we started with a small patch of sunflowers (pray the deer continue to stay away from them🥲) I anticipate they’ll be blooming some time in the mid weeks of August. Help me out though; would y’all be interested in a day for SENIOR minis in the sunflowers? I’ll be taking on as many regular sessions as I can in the weeks they’ll be bloomed as well, please reach out if you are interested in booking a spot!
