Christmas time is here and Lexi’s Little Library is all decked out for it!🎄⛄️🎅🏼 we have quite a few Christmas books in stock and children are welcome to drop off their letters to Santa at the mailbox attached to the library. If you’d like Santa to reply back then please make sure to include a return address on your children’s letters!💌📫

I love it when I open the library and find notes and pictures in it from our neighborhood readers!❤️
The banned books will be in the library until the end of the weekend and then it’s time to get ready for the library to be decorated for Halloween🎃👻 I have quite a few spooky books ready to go into the library but donations are always welcome!

Banned books week is coming up! I’ll be putting out quite a few banned books next week. Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. The books featured during Banned Books Week have all been targeted for removal or restrictions in libraries and schools. Banned Books Week highlights the value of free and open access to information.

Bookworms LOVE Back to School!📚🐛

I visited Boardwalk Book Library in Newport today! There weren’t really any books to choose from but I loved that the library looks exactly like the library steward’s house. Very cute😄💛

Hi neighbors! I just wanted to let everyone know that every summer Barnes & Noble does a really cool summer reading program! The concept is super simple. Your child just has to read 8 books and then write down the name of the book and the author and then write one or two lines about what their favorite part of the book was. Once they have their 8 books read and written down they just return the form to the store and they get to choose any book on the list to take home for FREE. You can turn in the forms and redeem the books from July 1 - August 31. I’ve placed a stack of the forms in the little library or you can pick up the forms at Barnes & Noble. Happy Reading! 😄📚

If you’re lucky you might find a reading buddy in the library to take home and keep! Reading buddies will be popping up randomly in the library from time to time so keep an eye out! 🍦🧸

Great news everyone! We are officially registered with the Little Free Library Organization! We are charter #144203 and Lexi’s Little Library can now be found on the Little Free Library world map! How exciting!

I’d like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who has supported Lexi’s Little Library this past week after it was robbed and completely cleaned out. If it weren’t for the people of this community I very well might have lost faith in my mission to support literacy in children and adults in my neighborhood. It is thanks to all of the people who donated, or even just left me words of encouragement and kindness, that I am able to reopen my library and continue working on this passion project of mine. Lexi’s Little Library is officially open beginning today, April 13. We now have proper security measures in place, to ensure that an incident like the one which happened last week will hopefully not happen again. Thank you all and god bless❤️
