Grassy Bottom Farm
Grassy Bottom Farm is 57 acres of heaven owned by The Reinhardt family. Watch as we build our farm!
Loving all the flowers at the farm! I planted 5-6 different kinds of sunflowers and they are all blooming! Here is the first mammoth! It doesnβt seem that large until you realize is 6-7 feet tall! π»ππ

Itβs planting day at the farm! ππ±
Our resident rooster, Cluck Norris.
Weβve been busy bees at the farm with the onset of spring! We welcomed two new hives and weβve been working in our hive from last year every week. The chickens have been sunbathing and gorging themselves on bugs and fresh fruits and veggies. We are getting ready to plant our garden this weekend! Hereβs hoping for a fruitful spring! ππΈπ π₯π±
Great inspection today. Expecting more bees to arrive in 2-3 weeks, so hopefully the honey will be delicious come July! βΊοΈπβοΈ
There is nothing cooler than opening a hive in the spring. They are such incredible creatures! π
These are as fresh as they come. 53 eggs laid over the last 3 days, pretty good for winter time. Let me know if you need eggs!
Cooked up a huge batch of scrambled eggs (yes, they are their eggs) this morning with some fresh organic kale and herbs for the ladies. Plan to add some BSF larvae to the mix for added protein and nutrients! ππ
Need eggs? We are selling fresh free range eggs for $5 per dozen! Send us a message if youβre interested!
Chilled watermelon and fresh ice water after a mealworm snack. Trying to keep them cool in this heatwave. They are happy chicks.
We got our first egg today!
We welcomed our newest farm residents yesterday evening! The kids were so excited and jumped right in the coop for hugs! π
We have owned the farm for a year now and what a year it has been! The bottom is the focal point of the farm. It has been our focus and itβs been incredible to watch the progression and progress of this beautiful piece of land.
We have been working hard on getting the coop and run ready for the chickens that will soon be joining us on the farm!
Work weekend at the farm! We got ready for the portable sawmill coming today! We also got our camping area by the creek cleaned up and ready for some fun this weekend!
These kids are the reason we chose to buy land and start a farm. β€οΈ
Introducing our new pup, Riley Sable Reinhardt! Welcome to the family darlin!!
Last weeks brief hive inspections showed lots of pollen, nectar, and new baby bees!! The bees have been busy! π
We got a lot of work done this weekend on the bottom. More work to do, but itβs a great start!
We got the hives built today! Daddy Quinn put the very first frame in! We still have a ways to go to be completely ready, but itβs a solid start! ππ
Picked up our hives today! We are going to start with 2, and will add more as we gain experience. We have a lot of work to do between now and early April to get ready for the arrival of our bees! π
Why Grassy Bottom Farm? The bottom is the very heart of the farm. This is where we will house the animals and plant our garden. There is a beautiful creek that runs along one edge, and we will use that to water the garden and the animals. It is truly one of the most beautiful locations on the property!
Taking a Practical Beekeeping class to get ready for bees in the spring! We are excited about getting some hives on the farm!
Welcome to the farm! Now that deer season is over, we will be prepping the farm for spring. Here are some pictures from all the fun we have had the last 6 months!
