Who I'm raising money for?
Homeless families and less fortunate individuals living outside in Baltimore City.

Why am I raising money? Simply because there is a great need for those who suffer from hunger in America with details about this cause posted below please read. Any donation will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

As the needs go, so do the demand for donations. This is where you come in. Together we can help to stop starvation in our communities. 100% of the proceeds we receive are given to individuals or families living in less than ideal living situations.

In a report to the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), city officials asserted that on any given night there are 2,669 people that experienced homelessness in Baltimore City alone.

How donations will be distributed ?

According to the USDA's latest Household Food Insecurity in the United States report, more than 38 million people in the United States experienced hunger in 2023. Households with children are more likely to experience food insecurity.

What is food insecurity and what does it look like in America? Food insecurity refers to USDA’s measure of lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. Food-insecure households are not necessarily food insecure all the time. Food insecurity may reflect a household’s need to make trade-offs between important basic needs, such as housing or medical bills, and purchasing nutritionally adequate foods.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment and food insecurity soared. In 2023, over 60 million people turned to food banks and community programs for help putting food on the table. Last year during the pandemic. Along side my family and friends were able to service the needs of over 300 individuals on Thanksgiving day.

For the past 10 years, On Thanksgiving Morning our group of family including volunteers have went out into our community of Baltimore City. To give out resources or simply lend a helping hand to homeless or less fortunate people living outside in our beloved community. Some individuals literally sleep on the sidewalks, others assemble make shift tents or may have placement in a shelter. Our family including our friends have paid out of pocket for this cause during previous years. This year we are asking others like yourself to join us in helping to feed the less fortunate people of Baltimore, Maryland. Our group will drop off any items given to use doing collection dates on Thanksgiving 11/28/2024

We set up in one location to feed as many as possible. 120 N. Font Street. (Directly out front of St. Vincent De Paul Church) We also go outdoors corner to corner in areas known to house homeless individuals. To assist then with meal service and any available resources. Together we will continue to feed America by helping to also service one of the largest soup kitchen located in Maryland. There is a huge need for community outreach. With your help we can continue to go out in the community to be a blessing to those in need.

We offer families and individuals free resource information such as help with placement for housing, assistance with getting into substance abuse programs, mental health crisis help, furthering education, primary care needs likes clothes, shoes,coats, hoodies,hats,scarves, gloves, person hygiene products, sleeping needs such as tents, tarps, blankets, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, air mattresses, all forms of generosity and any other available resources with a nutritional hot Thanksgiving meal & a drink.

If you know about me, then you know how much I give. God has blessed me to go out in the community to be a blessing to others. This cause is near and dear to my heart. When you have a calling on your life there is nothing you can do to hide from it. Like seriously. Where ever I go it could be anyone’s event I find myself in the kitchen. Yesterday was no different lol & turned out to be amazing. I pulled up to a wedding as as guest. Immediately turned in the Chef/decorator. The bride called and said “Tarsha where are you? I should have took you up on your offer. I need you to take over, these people don’t know what to do ” I told her to say less I’m out front already and get dressed! I jumped right into action. I ended up preparing a delicious meal, fruit displays, desserts and decorated her yard in a little less than 2 hours. Who said miracles don’t happen! Prior to me pulling up everything seem to be falling apart. The Chef flaked on her (so unprofessional) and the servers were clueless. This became a all hands on deck matter. I can’t take full credit at all. I do thank God for the ability to make things happen.

The bride and groom was so pleased when they actual was able to see all the work we put in, in such a short time. I asked my man to go to Sams Club to get some groceries for me as I prepped what I had at the time. In less than 2 hours!!! Was able to completed the meal, came outside all hands on deck to decorate and before you know it. We had an outdoor wedding for my new cousins. I truly take pride in all I do. I truly thank God for always placing me in the right place at the right time. Favor!

I called the theme before he was even born lol: So I was honored to do his party from the decorations (balloon arch, back drop, centerpieces, dessert table) to personalized chip bags, cotton candy, candy bars, capri suns, and bottled waters. I enjoyed it all. He enjoyed his party as well, just look at his smile!

Bmore Community Food will have its next curbside giveaway on December 9th from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

During this special event, we will have food for people and pets; cages, collars and other assorted pet items, thanks to a generous donation from the Sherman Family Foundation.

Today was a blessed day per usual. 10 years today since I started this mission. To help end starvation in our City of Baltimore. Tarsha’s Tasty Treats LLC 10th Annual Thanksgiving Drive was a huge success. God has been more than good to me. It has been a great pleasure to be of assistance for ten years. I am especially THANKFUL for God giving me the ability to coordinate this event. It is so dear to my heart, to be able to give back to those in need.

We was able to serve over 200 less fortunate individuals today. Really delicious hot food. Special thanks to LaTia Barnes Faith Evans Barnes for your help with cooking. Thank you Bro Mike Gilliam for frying all 12 turkeys for me they was moist. I would like to thank all the volunteers for coming out. Tarsha’s Tasty Treats LLC and Friends

Thank you to those who was able to donate in any way. We were able to give away a lot of personal hygiene items, clothes, shoes, resource packages bible tracts and desserts. We truly appreciate all the generosity! I would like to share some of the greatness that happened today.

Happy to announce our 10th Annual Thanksgiving Drive 2023. We will be serving Baltimore City homeless and less fortunate individuals again this year for our 10th year in a role 🙌🏾 (major)

Time: 9am to 12noon
Location: In front of St. Vincent De Paul Church 120 N. Front Street. Baltimore MD 21202.
