I went to the doctor's today for my followup. Surgery on the second rotator cuff scheduled for Sept 17th. With that being said I won't be baking from Sept 17- at least Oct. 31st , so I recovery from that second surgery.

Update on Cakez by Jackie.

I went to the doctors this week and I have badly torn both rotator cuffs with my fall in early April when I dislocated both my shoulders. As a result I'm going to be out of commission from baking probably most of the next 6 months while recovering from the 2 separate surgeries to repair them. First surgery June 13th. I am so sorry for any inconvenience, however please don't replace or give up on your cake lady. I promise I will be back after I recovery completely. It's just right now until surgery I can't even lift my arms past my elbow bend.

Today I baked this extra 6 inch round pineapple filled one layer, strawberry filled next layer strawberry shortcake. This is similar to the special request cake that one of my customers ordered yesterday. The difference is this one is 6 inch and has pineapple filling and chopped strawberry filling between the 2 different layers. Let me know if interested

Good afternoon. Ive been still getting calls about Thanksgiving and XMas orders. I have received my max for orders for both holidays . I stopped taking orders for those 2 holiday weeks over a month ago. I am completely swamped for both holidays so unfortunately this year I can't make any exceptions. I will send out group text messages to those customers that requested of my extras as they become available during those 2 weeks leading up to the holiday itself. (Those are normally cupcakes and pies). As always first I thank God and then I want to thank all my Cakez by Jackie customers for all your support, referrals and loyalty over the years. I truly appreciate you all.

* I baked a 8" round 3 layer chocolate crunch cheesecake available this evening. (2 layers of my chocolate poke cake with a layer of chocolate chip cheesecake between the 2 cake layers frosted with cool whip cream cheese and topped with oreo cookie crumbs. I'll be selling slices if I don't get a request for the entire cake as a whole.
