Puppy now. Bipolar/Fibromyalgia/LongCOVID service dog later. Had no idea service dogs for these conditions were an option. Dogs can be any breed as long as they are trainable. You can buy your own puppy. After you take your puppy to puppy and dog obedience classes (through any trainer), they will be ready to start their service training. After their service training, they get one more training session to teach them how to avoid distractions while working in public. Google what service dogs can do for psychiatric conditions. You'll be amazed!!
