UPDATE!!!

Hello all,

Thank you for your patience as we worked to secure a new venue for this event. We are happy to say we will be able to hold Kicks for JG at Brewer Community Soccer Field on Sunday October 29th from 2-5pm.

This is a free event for spectators but donations are more than welcome. All proceeds will be going to Justyn George and his family to help with the costs of his cancer treatments.

Participation in the event requires a ticket. Tickets may be purchased using the link below or the QR code. Tickets are $10 per person. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day at the field.

Waivers will need to be completed for participation and will be available at the field.

Los Caballeros Soccer is happy to announce we will be hosting a soccer charity event in Brewer on October 22nd. This event will be a pickup soccer fundraising event to support a local family in need.

Justyn and his family are in need of help. Justyn was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer that needs special treatments. This means the family needs to afford the travel and the cost of the treatments themselves.

So whether you come out to watch, play, or support come join us at this event and donate for a good cause.

Kicks For JG!

Los Caballeros Soccer is organizing a pick-up soccer fundraising event in the Bangor area on Sunday Oct 22 to benefit Justyn George's cancer treatment.

We are working to book a soccer field. Once we have a field, we will send an update with the time of the event. In the meantime, we wanted to get this fundraiser on everyone's radar to come out and support a great person.

Hello All,

Just wanted to give you all a heads up about pick-up for now on. Pick-up will be at UMaine at the Baseball turf from 5 till dark on Tuesdays and Thursdays, however this is not a Los Caballeros event. Los Caballeros will continue to post when pickup events arise in the area in an attempt to help the community know when soccer is happening but we will be not hosting pickup events for the remainder of the summer. I do hope to see you all out on the fields playing the beautiful game.

I hope this finds you safe and well.

I am pleased to announce that Husson University will be running an adult summer league, which is scheduled to start next Thursday, June 10, 2021. We had previously run a successful summer league at Husson in prior years, and I am pleased to share that we will be continuing with the league now that the worst of the pandemic is behind us. As the only adult summer league in the Bangor area, I invite you to get some friends together, take a break from the kids, and get involved in a good weekly workout.

As I mentioned above, the league will start next Thursday and will run every Thursday for 10 weeks. Games will be scheduled between 7pm and 9pm. The league is open to both men and women aged 14 years and older, however, the league will not be operated with traditional coed rules, meaning there will be no limitation on how many players from each gender must be playing on the field at any given time. Each game will be 50 minutes long (2 x 25 minute halves), will be officiated by a qualified referee, and will be played on half of our newly renovated field. Teams must have 1 goalkeeper and 6 outfield players for a total of 7 vs 7, however I would recommend your teams be more than 7 people... substitutes come in handy at this time of year.

In prior years, the summer league has been very popular and a great place to play in the fantastic summer weather here in Bangor, Maine, while getting in a weekly workout and enjoying the beautiful game. It is my hope that I will see many of you out on the pitch.

Today is Giving Day at Husson University. This is a day for Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Parents, Students, Friends, Families, and Supporters to come together and give to an area of the university to help make a difference in the lives of the students today and in the future.

The Husson Men’s Soccer Team is seeking support from generous donors to contribute toward the costs of the team European Tour in August 2022. I have made a contribution myself and I hope that you can join me likewise.
