We are a group of local Bethel residents that got together in the fall of 2022. We all enjoy riding and wanted to bring a VASA Club to Bethel and reestablish the trail system here. The process proved more difficult than we initially anticipated as some properties had changed hands and new owners werenโt up to the idea of having ATV's on their land. So we spent a bunch of time last year trying to find some work arounds to. Get us around some sections that we had lost access on. Some of which worked out and some didnโt. So this year we decided to speak with the Town to be able to use some Town roads to connect our private land trails, that way we could open up what we had.

We cover trails in Bethel and in Stockbridge. We have about 21 ยฝ miles of trail that we are happy to say is showing on Polaris Ride Command. And we have another section we are adding soon that will give us another 6 miles approximately. Some of our trails are wooded trails offering some varying terrain. From logging roads to some semi steep, narrow trails to town roads. At this time, we do not have a connection to be able to connect directly with the Quad Runners for their trails in Stockbridge.

Hard to pick a favorite trail or spot. Some club members like the big field area and some like the old log landing area thatโs near Mount Lympus.

New club members can get involved by attending our monthly meetings, which happens on the 3rd Monday of the month at the Bethel Town Hall at 6 pm. They can also follow our page for news and updates.

We have our first club ride and cookout scheduled for the end of June, this will be for both our club members and land owners. We will most likely try to do a club ride once a month and maybe even try an evening/night ride as well. There has also been some talk of maybe a poker run at some point as well.
We continue with another Trail Talks Club Spotlight tomorrow!
Beautiful work completed by our VASA Trails Team and Volunteers in the Top of the World's Trail Network.
The VASA Office will be closed today in observance of Independence Day. We will be back open tomorrow at 8:00AM.
Happy 4th and enjoy the ride!

Westshire ATV Club was founded in July of 2003 by some local hunters in West Fairlee that wanted to ride to their hunting spots, they worked with the town to write an ordinance to make it legal and they joined VASA, and Vershire. Westshire has a President , Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and two Trail Masters. We average 60 to 100 members a year.

One of our favorite trail loops is Taylor Valley to Carol's Corner and back to Moody Hill in Vershire. We share some of our trails with the local snowmobile club and work together with the towns to improve the class four roads we use.

Our members enjoy a potluck or a club funded dinner at every meeting the second Wednesday of each month in April to October. We do Green up weekend in both towns and pick up over 50 bags of roadside trash. Our Motto is Enjoy Don't Destroy. We also do some fun rides , a full moon night ride and cookout, and a fall foliage ride. Our July meeting is our end of year and club officer elections.
Completed some trail work on the Northeast Kingdom Wheelers trail system. Thank you to the volunteers and the VASA trails team for the job well done.
