His advice to underclassmen is that it may seem awkward or uncool to be involved in school, but it makes your high school experience 10 times better.
After graduation he plans to attend college, and forge a career in baseball

Before the season began you started making adjustments. You never got to practice on your field. Your jamboree was cancelled, but thanks to Coach Gomez a replacement game was quickly scheduled in Donaldsonville against Ascension Christian.
Your season opener could not be played at home due to field conditions but thanks to Brusly High you played your season opener there. We all remember the game delay when the sprinklers went off.
March 7th you walked off the Parkview Baptist field and what you did not know was that would be the final game of the 2020 season. There was no warning, no time to prepare and no closure. When you stepped off the baseball field a couple long weeks ago, it would be for the last time. For the seniors, it was the final high school game they would ever play. Seniors, as you move forward in life and look back on this season I hope it reminds you that whatever you do in life ALWAYS give it your all, because it may be the last time you get to do it.

Nothing could have prepared us for this unprecedented event which brought an abrupt halt to the 2020 high school baseball season.
