Every used record has a story. First, a story about the artist. Secondly, a story about the previous owner.
For this record, Between 1964 and 1966 , The Shangri - La's Recorded several hit pop songs of their documented teen tragedies and melodramas. Their biggest was "Remember (Walking in the Sand)", their first hit, and "Leader of the Pack", which went to #1. Lead Singer, Mary Weiss, died last month, so we post their story in her honor.
The second story is the previous owner. We meet all kinds, with great stories. In this case, Arnie, is a older father, mid seventies, with two teenage sons, who are "All boy". They keep him really busy. They live near Fairhope, Alabama. Arnie has a large record collection (10,000) and when he needs money, he sells some to us.

Here is what Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin had to say about Vinyl Records. "I've never stopped listening to vinyl. I was very disappointed when the CDs came out because I didn't like the way they sounded. So much was lost with CDs, and then MP3s, they took away much of the depth, all the panoramic quality in three-dimensional, or even five-dimensional, of the audio experience. So cool to see the resurgence of vinyl. Beyond sound, there’s the touch experience, the art, the notes you can read without using a magnifying glass, and the act of putting on an album. "It's a lovely little ritual that I never get tired of."
