LSU Upward Bound

Helping awesome high school students reach their potential, one day at a time.

Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves: high school students from low-income families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.

Our scholars recently took part in TRIO Day with the New Orleans Pelicans. They attended a college and career fair, a motivational speaker series, and the Pelicans basketball game!

Last month, our scholars participated in the Sort & Repack Day at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Student ambassadors toured the warehouse, sorted donated items, and helped to pack boxes of food to be delivered to families in need. We are so proud of our LSU Upward Bound student ambassadors!
