Today I'm headed over to Chicago on the young Amtrak to attend the 🏬 Retail Innovation Conference & Expo!😃 I am SO stoked!!🙃

This is the first conference I've been able to attend that fully encompasses the business industry I am in. 💗

Today was extremely humbling because Wendy (from the Michigan SBDC) asked me to tell my business story. Essentially, for me, she was asking me to be brave. I almost called and canceled today... maybe my story isn't big enough yet, maybe the shop isn't full enough... maybe I am still so close to it "not working" that everything can crumble and where is my story then?😧 Have you ever had a moment like that?

Here's the reminder today... your story is not too small. It means something to someone. Your ideas and your dreams are precious and they are worth sharing with others.

Bread & Basket Marketplace wouldn't even exist without you. Sure the idea may have existed but it was (and still is) you who made this dream a reality by supporting it, by telling your family and friends, by spreading the joy of shopping local... and that's something that none of our small businesses can truly survive with out. I don't know that I can ever say thank you enough. It's been a really emotional time for me, a rather tough 12 months, and yet so much beauty and depth in it all.
