Su***de is the second-leading cause of death among Black children ages 10 to 19 and is rising faster than any other racial or ethnic group in this age bracket. Su***de is the second leading cause of death among teens and children ages 10-24 in the United States. A young person dying because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration is devastating to family, friends and the community. We are left wondering if we could have done something to prevent that person from turning to su***de.
