Margot Jones in Nursing Home
For the purpose of contacting family and friends! Letting these people know what is going on with me! I took the first vaccine Jan 05, 2021 and was very sick.
All month I struggled with first flu like symptoms then frequent nausea and vomiting. It’s been a struggle. Now I’ve taken the 2nd vaccine and last. Thank God it’s the last! I have been sick with flu like symptoms for 3 days! Hopefully it will be over soon!
Well folks! We got off quarantine last Friday!!! I’ve been too busy to post!!!
Well, it’s the 4th week of quarantine in our rooms! Yes! In our rooms!!! People are crying and depressed! I don’t know what we’re gonna do if we don’t get out soon!!!
Well, we’ve been on quarantine since Friday the 13th!!! of course!!! Lol my spirits are high still but I’m not sure for how long! Ugh!!! Depression is not easily thwarted! I look forwarded to manicures on Thursday’s! Although, it’s usually Friday’s before I get it! I’m high maintenance! Lol!!! So it’s Friday this week because my girl is off this Thursday! So…. I’m fixing to look up some verses in the Bible from our devotion! It helps me a lot! Tonight it is Mathew 11:28-30. Sweet Dreams!
Sorry for not posting in awhile. I’ve been having upper abdomen pain. They think it maybe an ulcer!!!
This week is National Nursing Home Week. We have celebrated this week with something new each weekday! Monday was Derby Day. We made hats for this occasion! Tuesday was 80s Day and I dressed up like a punk rocker! Lol Wednesday, was baseball day and the staff and residents played each other. The residents won 15 to 4.Lol!!! Of course, they helped a lot!!! Today was Western Day and we all dressed up like cowgirls and cowboys. Tomorrow we have the Seniors Prom and we all dress up for Prom!!!
What a great place we live in! Thanks to our Activities Dept. for keeping us busy and being inovative!!!
All is well at the Home front! I’m getting stronger every day! We can have guests come to our rooms and we can check out to go places! Life is getting better and better!!!
I seem to have FINALLY adapted to nursing home living even without being able to leave!!!
I have 3 herniated discs in my lumbar and lower spine. They have steadily been getting worse. The are putting me on a low dose narcotic and referring me to a specialist! Finally!
I really hate doing this because it means surgery!!!
At this time, I’m holding my own and quite comfortable here in the nursing home. I’m lucky to be in a place where there are no COVID-19 patients of living.
I am quite comfortable and have everything I need. I am fortunate to be here since we have NO COVID-19 at this time or since I’ve been here!!!
