What happens when an ER physician leaves the chaos and opens a primary care practice? EXCELLENCE!! McCoy Medical Group is still accepting new patients. We are a family owned practice and each of our providers has extensive ER backgrounds as well. Dr. McCoy was an attending in the ER for 13 years and also fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and boarded in Family Medicine. We aren’t afraid of taking care of the sick, that’s for sure 🙂 We also have a phlebotomist on site so you can have your labs drawn in our office 5 days a week.

We are also are offering Semaglutide injections for an amazing price!! We have been seeing amazing weight loss results with this!

Say "Hello" to Leslie, she is Dr McCoy's personal certified medical assistant. She loves kids and previously worked in a pediatric practice before joining us here at McCoy Medical Group when we opened up in November.

Leslie comes from a large family, she is the youngest of four siblings. Family is very important to her as she loves spending time with them, especially during their Sunday family dinners.
Leslie is a 2016 graduate of Bel Air High School. She began her medical career in 2020 during Covid. She chose the medical field after helping her mother through her own medical journey. She attended appointments with her mother and helped interpret information so her mother could better understand her healthcare plan.

On her days off you will find her spending time with family and hanging out with her friends! Leslie loves taking care of our patients and we are so grateful to have her as a part of our McCoy Medical Group family! 💙

We would like to introduce you all to one of our practitioner's, Halea Blair, DNP, FNP-C ♥︎

Halea is local to our community, she grew up right here in Bel Air and is a graduate from The John Carroll School! She is a family girl, one of three children with two amazing and supportive parents. Halea loves being an aunt to her two nephews and one niece that live in Florida. She misses them greatly but travels to see them as much as possible. Halea has a 12-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Tebow (yes, after Tim Tebow🙂). Her favorite hobbies include skiing, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.♥︎

Halea was inspired to pursue the medical profession after her mother was diagnosed with leukemia. It was a rare and not-well-known form of cancer that thankfully was treated successfully at Johns Hopkins Hospital. During her mother's treatment, Halea spent many days at the hospital by her side and witnessed the doctors, nurses and medical assistants treating her mother incredibly well. She believed the level of care her mother received was a direct result in her successful recovery. This experience coupled with a desire to help others since she was a little girl is what launched Halea into her medical career and we are so glad it did!!♥︎

Before joining McCoy Medical Group, Halea attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama for her undergraduate degree in nursing. After practicing in the ER for a few years she decided to go back to Samford to further her education where she obtained her nurse practitioner and doctorate in nursing!! Our girl is smart!🎓

In addition to seeing primary care patients, Halea also does aesthetics such as Botox and filler on Fridays from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Congratulations to our very own Jason Crowl, NP!!
He has been selected by FindATopDoc.com as the Top Nurse Practitioner representing Bel Air, MD!!

Jason has been a part of Harford County since he was young. He graduated from Bel Air High School and served in the United States Army National Guard from 2000-2006. He was an ASE Master Technician owning his own business until 2009. When our economy took a dive and his business decreased, Jason's wife, who is a nurse, picked up extra shifts to help make ends meet. It was then that Jason was inspired to further his education and chose the medical field. At Harford Community College, he received his AA in nursing, followed by a BA in nursing at Notre Dame of MD University. That in and of itself was impressive and would have provided a great career, but inspired by a friend, Jason decided to go one step further and received his masters in nursing at Walden University! He started working as a Nurse Practitioner right here in the Harford County community for Urgent Care Centers until we were lucky enough to bring him here with us at McCoy Medical Group!

Jason has been married to his wife Jessica for 25 years, they have five children, ages 7 to 21! They enjoy working on their family home doing DIY projects and raising their chickens, too!

One of the most frequent compliments we hear from our patients at MMG about Jason is he takes the time to listen to their concerns. And that is what Jason would tell you is the most rewarding assets of his job, pausing to allow his patients to speak, paying attention to the little details and making the best decisions for their overall health!
