Meet Angel my newest buddy in the doggo art gallery- As I painted her I was reminded of our German Shepherd Duchess we had as a kid - sweet and protective she was black with brown features and her nickname was Dut - I know people are hesitant about this breed but you shouldn’t be - a few commissions spots open before the holidays but going quickly! Are you familiar with poke berry? As a kid I remember always hearing STAY AWAY it’s poisonous! I was reminded about how my brother didn’t listen to the warning as I picked them in his fields last week 🤦🏻‍♀️ So yes it is poisonous and apparently as an ink it’s fugitive - meaning it will fade… how unfortunate for this brilliant gorgeous color! I also read somewhere if you protect it behind UV glass it helps- also the Declaration of Independence was not penned with this as the rumor goes - .mccormick.7

Thanks to my dear sis in law .mccormick.7 for letting me ✂️to my heart’s content! She has grown almost all her flowers from seed! Also contact her if you want to purchase a beautiful bouquet! No pesticides here! Her bees are busy !

My indigo experiment- Grew some indigo this summer and tried a fresh leaf extraction method with just the leaves and salt massaged into the fabric- the silk piece took it much better than the cotton but both have a very pretty blue green color- the many shades of indigo! Maybe I’ll grow more next year ! Bought my seeds from .puleo thx for your advice! More to come-
