Merrill HS Cross Country
MHS CC team's place for information and meet results!
We are starting our Run the Ball event today! Our team takes turns running the homecoming ball from our opponents school (Rhinelander) to our high school!
The route is 25.9 miles long and each athlete has to run 1.5 miles, however, most athletes run over 3 miles.
The seniors will then run the ball into the high school to "kick off" the homecoming assembly!
Last night our Merrill Cross Country team had a dual with Antigo. The course is beautiful, but very hilly and rough, and our athletes did great! We brought home 6 medals and won the dual! 💙🏅
Today's meet at the Marshfield Zoo was a hot one! But despite the temps, our runners gave their all and ran well! 💙
It was a hot one during yesterday's meet at 9 Mile Recreation Area! The team was up for the challenge and our athletes performed well! We also came home with our first medal of the season!🏅
Freshman Erik Grunewald with 6th place overall!
It's race day!!! First meet of the season at Rhinelander High School!
The Merrill High School Cross Country team ran the Homecoming ball 24 miles from Tomahawk to Merrill (as Hayward, opposing team, is 122 miles away). Each athlete took turns holding the ball and each ran at least 2 miles with most running 3 miles or more!
Come to Culver's tomorrow to support the team!
