THANK YOU to all those who purchased a 6ct Cookie in December 2023. You made a huge difference for the very deserving Benbrook Spirit of Christmas. This organization helps create a wonderful Christmas experience for children right here in our city by purchasing and distributing Christmas gifts. We are happy to announce that together we raised $1339 for them!

So last night as I was waiting for the last of the gifts to be brought and dropped off, I texted them to remind them just in case they forgot. One lady asked me who I was (not a good sign!). After reading my email a month ago and seeing the minimum donation is $100, she decided she couldn’t afford to participate. Okay, I totally understand. BUT she didn’t respond when she made that decision!!!! She allowed me to believe that she was going to adopt this 12 year old child until last night at 7 pm when I reached out to her! And then, what really made my day is she tried to make it my responsibility and said that I should have checked in with HER weeks ago 🤦‍♀️Her excuse….. she’s a busy mother of 3!!!! I would happily compare her busy with mine, but I won’t. I actually didn’t lose my sh_t on her and went shopping for the angel last night after a long day so he would have a Christmas. Parents come to pick up today, it’s always my favorite day, someone usually cries, which makes me cry. I love our program and our city. Thank you

Good morning Benbrook! Thank you once again for taking care of our own children! We are out of angels! Now the fun part begins for you.....the shopping! Gift drop off is December 14th and the parents pick up on December 15th.

We do need volunteers for both days, so if you are looking for something to do please DM me. The hours are 9 - noon and 3 - 8 on both days. If you have a child that needs volunteer hours, this is perfect for them.
