Our amazing secretary is moving to Northside to start a new journey as the Elementary Librarian! We are so happy and proud of you! Update on our Benson student athletes competing at State!

Harold and Max played two matches today, they played very well but will not be advancing to play tomorrow. Way to play hard and represent our community! We are all so proud of you!

Track and Field athletes competed today in several events! Carly Tolifson finished 12th in High Jump, the Boys 4x100 finished 13th, Ava Noble finished 12th in the 100m hurdles and has qualified for finals tomorrow in the 300m hurdles, she is currently in 5th place. Amber Rosenmier has advanced to the 400 meter finals tomorrow and is sitting in 5th place and DeAndre Holloway will compete in the High Jump tomorrow! Great job and good luck to those who advanced to compete tomorrow! We are all so proud of you!

On May 10th the Boys Baseball team and coaches honored Caitlin Nichols as she fights a battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Caitlin is the sister of 8th grader Noah Nichols and daughter of our jr high coach Jason Nichols. Caitlin has supported the Benson Baseball Association cheering on her brother and team mates at many baseball games, Now it’s time for Benson Baseball to cheer her on during her fight. Please join Benson Baseball in a round of applause for Caitilin to help show her that “NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE”!

Post season has begun! Boys tennis with a first round section win tonight over Pipestone 5-2! Next round will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Redwood Falls!

What a great night of basketball for an amazing cause! Over $2,000 was raised tonight to help research childhood cancer! Way to go students, staff and community!

We are in need of some Junior High Softball and Baseball Umpires this spring! You do not need any type of certification, just a good knowledge base of the game! Games start at 4:30 and you will be paid! Please reach out to me at [email protected]! Thank you and Go Braves!!!

This concert will feature the Jazz Bands and Percussion Ensembles as well as other small ensembles. 🎶

"This concert is a showcase of the work done by our students outside the school day. The jazz bands and percussion ensembles meet before school one day per week. The small ensembles meet when they can and prepare a piece for contest and this concert. It will be a very entertaining concert with lots of variety in musical styles and groups." - Brock Duncan, BHS band director.

Benson BPA had 6 students advance to Nationals…Elise Duncan, Adeline DeToy, Taylor Helmberger, Jordan Schmidt, Helstrom Sanchez, and Alex Sanchez. Nationals will be in Chicago in May.
