First cake in the new house! I’m still trying to work out the best way to take pics - I like the countertop, but it casts shadows on the front of the cake. I also like the natural light, but the background on the table isn’t the best. What do y’all think? Photography tips appreciated! 🎂 💕

I make sticky notes to remind myself of things I tend to forget. For example, this note above the stove to TAP THE CAKES, and thought if anyone else saw this, they would probably think WTF? 😂 so, just for fun, anyone know what it is referring to? 😃

When stacking cakes for an order, I trim the tops to make the layers even. What do I do with all the trimmings? Throw them away? Heavens no. I save the scraps for snacking! 😂❤️🖤
