💔💔💔💔💔💔💔One month later…..
He is in jail for not paying child support and spousal support….. 8/mo out of over 2 years of being disable …..
Judge was irritated about all the continuances….. but he had stage 3 color re**al cancer, chemo therapy, radiation, port insertion, chemo again, port removed, injections…. 4 or 5 Bowel obstructions, ureter stint, left ureter at 40%, and just had surgery 4 weeks ago…. Not included the future procedures, like his teeth removed because they are falling out from chemo, if he has to have surgery on the left ureter…..
no big deal (do you feel the sarcasm)

Tomorrow November 30th Steven Ledlow is having another surgery. All of these future surgeries will be due to his colore**al cancer and the damage it caused his body. If you don’t know the extent of the damage, I made a video almost a years ago to explain in Layman terms.

UPDATE:
Steven Ledlow is resting but the blockage is still there and hoping for something to start “moving around”😞 Right now we are playing it by ear basically ….
I try to explain his situation the best way I can. The next 2 pictures give you an idea of what is going on.

The first picture explains the surgery he has 19/mo ago due to Colore**al Cancer

Abdominal perineal resection (APR)
APR is a surgery that’s done to treat a**l or re**al cancer. To remove the cancer, your surgeon will remove all of the following:
The lower part of your colon
Your re**um
Your a**s

The second picture explains where the "kink" blockage is.
After surgery when part of his colon, the a**s and re**um was removed, you have all this space and during the healing process his intestines settled to the bottom wall.... And there is where the "kink" is.
This has happened 4 times and it is inevitable surgery will occur at some point to fix this. However, it is very risky so this is why.... the surgery has been pushed aside for sometime.

UPDATE:

They have decided to take a different approach, instead of the tube, they want him to walk and no liquids or food until further notice. If that doesn't work, it's the tube in the nose, down the throat! 😫

Well we are back in the ER with another blockage!!!!! Dr. Rogers came in and has admitted him for the weekend. That means tube down the nose in the stomach for a few days. If he isn’t better by Monday, it’s surgery! I can’t EVEN think about surgery right now! Please keep Steven Ledlow in your prayers!!!

So Ledlow is home, next week Dr Rogers wants to do a biopsy of the mass/ the gray area that is attached to the "floor wall" that keeps causing the obstruction. Want to confirm if it's cancer or scar tissue. The nutritionist met with Ledlow today and we have a list of what he can and can't eat.... We don't know what day next week is the biopsy we are waiting on scheduling to call. Surgery is in the near future (few weeks) once a again we are waiting and hoping he doesn't have another obstruction before biopsy.

UPDATE:

Nevermind, he let me know that when they did the CT scan there is a mass in the pelvic area, I wasn’t in the room when they came in and he has been out of it. S**T! I’m about to get answers

It took them 3 times to get that tube in his nose which is how they drain the blockage. The difference this time is that he was vomiting. (Not good) they will be admitting him again. I absolutely HATE this!!!

When I woke up yesterday morning October 6th..... Ledlow was up with a severe upset stomach. He stated he had been up all night with pain however didn’t won’t to wake me! (I wasn’t too thrilled) He seem to be in ALOT of pain! He said he may need to go to ER. I told him I would take him, but he said he felt like something was moving so maybe he should wait. I told him to call me if he got worse.... so I went to work. I called Ledlow around 11 and he said his pain was worse so I hauled ass home to get him and take him to ER.
Well, THANKS to Covid19 visitors or family members can’t come into the hospital! So I waited outside the hospital for any news... after a few hours of waiting I ran home and headed back to the hospital parking lot. (I figured I didn’t need to get arrested for trying to ignore the covid19 rules🙄)
Then I received the call from ER doctor and the cat scan revealed a blockage (like a kink) right where the reconstruction was. It is either swollen or new growth. (Cancer) Hoping just maybe some swelling, we had to wait for his surgeon to look at the scan. Last night Dr Rogers decided to run tubes down his nose into his stomach to slowly pump what they could out. (Hoping to break up the blockage and would straighten the kink (think of a garden hose)
Spoke to Dr Rogers this morning..... just waiting to see if this works, also several scans during the day. Dr Rogers said he was concerned about the Ureter due to the passage being smaller and if the blockage doesn’t break up and the passage unkink.... we are looking at surgery!
AND I CANT BE IN THERE WITH HIM.

UPDATE: Tubes are out of his nose, he is on liquids and soft food. Some of the blockage has passed and now we wait to see if he can pass everything on his own. Tomorrow he will be moving back to his regular diet.... so cross fingers! Dr. Rogers will be contacting the oncologist tomorrow so Ledlow can get another PET scan due to an area that could be scar tissue or new growth (tumor)
This man has been through enough! When can he ever catch a break!!!!

I feel like I’ve been slacking on keeping you all updated, however it’s been pretty tough lately. To make things short Ledlow’s chemo treatments have come to a hault. Our private insurance cancelled right in the middle of all of this.. yes..... Before everyone gives suggestions....
1) already on VA.... That will take time to start all over!
2) I have insurance but once again another waiting period.
3) Medicare- already on it... Once again another waiting period
4) already looking at organizations, cancer organizations, etc.

Pretty frustrating, to say the least! 😞

It's been a pretty rough year, another year fighting a court battle with ------, COVID19 hits, fighting VA disability, SSDI, unemployment and now this.

Surgery, radiation and chemo have taken a HUGE toll on Ledlow's memory, on his body, on his whole mental state. I can't imagine what he truly feels even though I try. All we can do is move forward.

We will find a way!

I do apologize for not updating all of you when I should be. As of right now it’s another set back with Ledlows chemo. In the past month his t-cell count has been low. When it drops his chemo is pushed out another 2 weeks and during that 2 weeks he has to take injection boosters....
Today the oncologist called to let us know his count was low again, so at this moment it’s very difficult.

I will try and keep you all posted.

It is so hard to see someone you love with all of your heart go through this! Since Ledlow and I met it has always been me in that bed, not him! I have had so many surgeries with him by my side. Anyone who knows me.... you all know I’m a little .... crazy, but that crazy is someone who loves to the fullest, who will fight until the battle is won, who will protect what she loves and will not quit until there is nothing left ..! All of those pictures you see are US, are the true Ledlows, are 2 people who have been through a lot, not perfect but “our perfect!”
I want you all to know that we can’t even express how much all of you mean to us! We are so grateful for the love and support from family and friends as well as the support from people we have never even met.

Thank you to our kids Cody for checking on Ledlow, McKenzie for helping us with our babies at home, for Sydney bringing me food and bringing Carter up to the hospital so she could bring papaw Rainbow flowers, a note and “Rob the Rectum”, for Drew and Braxton who came and saw Steven in ICU, for the amazing steak, potatoes and homemade mac’n cheese, for Carla, Sherrie, Ty and Li who were there with me waiting for 7-hrs making sure that my ❤️ would be ok and come out of surgery alive. For my work family who have been so supportive and kept me half sane....😂, for Thacker for being my family still after all these years.

Tonight Steven Ledlow looked at me and said "baby, I want to apologize"..... I said "for being a bu****le?!"

He said "NO, not for being a bu****le!" And I mumbled walking away "I'm over it, used to you being a bu****le"

He said "NO!!!! THE DATE!" With tears!!!!

OMG, we both forgot our 4th Anniversary on December 12th. With everything going on, we didn't even realize our anniversary was 2 days ago!!!!!
So I want everyone to know, I love this man more than life, I know from time to time we have had some crazy moments (even on FB🤷🏼‍♀️) and of course amazing times. This man is my best friend, my better half, my reason I wake up and know that no matter if it's a good or bad day he will be here for me..... And I with him! Mr. Ledlow I ❤️ you immensely!

Ledlow started chemo and radiation this past week and it has been hard on him! 2 Fentanyl patches and Percocet can’t even touch the pain he is in, however he seems to be feeling somewhat better today.
Monday we start back ..... everyday Monday through Friday for the next 5-weeks...
then a 2 week resting period, surgery and then 6-mo of chemo.... 😞

We also moved in the new place and I’m slowing getting back to work.

Thank you all for your love nd support, we know the road ahead will be tough.... be we will beat this!

This past Friday insurance finally approved Ledlow's CT Simulation for radiation treatment. So tomorrow we go in for that procedure, THEN insurance has to approve the the entire treatment plan. So then we wait another 5-10 days for that approval. The Fentanyl patch plus his Percocet are keeping his pain down some, however the dosage will be changing soon.
ON TOP of all that we have to move do to our apartments plumbing issue. Our apartment has been in 1-3in of water. They have called out 7 different plumbers, extraction crew, finally they say it's fixed... NOT!
So we will be packing this week, the movers will be here Wednesday for larger items and go from there.
Oh ya, I have to work somewhere in there, we have appointments, kids, grandkids (just life)

we have 2 plumbers here with a scope, they can’t see past the elbow, as they are looking it floods my bathroom! 😂🤣😂🤣 So the plumbers said they are now concerned about mold and a collapsed pipe.....
