Berea - Railfan Hotspot
With an average of 100+ trains per day, Berea Ohio is one of Ohio's premier railfan hotspots Louis Railway (AKA; The Big Four Railroad).
Berea may just be the name of another suburb in Cleveland to most people, but to railfans, Berea is a Railfan hot spot that is known by many throughout the Midwest, and the country! Two westbound trains at Berea. Norfolk Southern leads a monster intermodal with a massive amount of motive power on the Norfolk Southern Chicago line. CSX leads a mixed freight westbound on the CSX Indianapolis line.

Please keep our friend and BRFG member Charlie Knapper in your thoughts and prayers. Charlie is a long time Berea Railfan Group member and has recently had some extended health issues. Ironically, while walking to our favorite spot to railfan today we came across this balloon stuck in the weeds. You know you're a genuine rail fan when even the place that you love to railfan at misses you and hopes you get better soon!

Some track work going on on the CSX line at milepost 22 in Berea ohio. This stretch recently had New balance to put down for track number two. Various MOW equipment continues to make fine improvements.

Ground broken to expand Baltimore's 126-year-old Howard Street Tunnel Gov. Larry Hogan and transportation officials broke ground Monday on the Howard Street Tunnel expansion project.
Come rain or shine, wind or snow, we will be bringing you some live stream railfanning this weekend...

Good Saturday afternoon railfans. The Berea Railfan Group page will once again be streaming live railfanning beginning tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. Be sure and tune in and see some live railfan action from the Berea Interlocking located in Berea, Ohio.
More news on Berea Tower. Roofing shingles have been removed. More items have been removed, such as desks and a bathroom stall wall (complete with tp holder) . I fear the end is near.
Some days even the animals show up at Berea to railfan. Well, not really, but it's a nice thought.
Berea Tower is seen in between a pair of passing intermodals at track speed. It took a few tries to get this nearly perfectly centered.
There will be an unofficial Rail~a~thon next weekend at Berea. Hope to see everyone there.
