Smith has produced Bad Boys for Life, King Richard, Pursuit of Happyness, Cobra Kai, to name a few. Famous for his acting roles in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hitch, Aladdin, Men in Black, Ali, and many more. His long-lasting Hollywood career has entertained millions of fans for decades. ⁠

Julia McDermott will be starring as Carolyn Bryant, the 21 year old store owner in Mississippi and wife of Roy Bryant. ⁠

McDermott attended Julliard in NYC and booked "Heroes Of the Fourth Turning" at Playwrights Horizons which won Obie, Lucille Lortel, and NY Drama Circle Awards in NY. She most recently performed in a workshop production of "Hair" for Netflix. ⁠

Tonya Pinkins will be starring as Alma Carthan, Mamie Till-Mobley's mother, and Emmett's grandmother. She fought to protect her family in Chicago while her daughter Mamie traveled the country seeking justice for Emmett.⁠

She has been nominated and often won nearly every award there is in the American theater. She is a Fulbright specialist. She is well known for her portrayal of Livia Frye, in the soap opera "All My Children".

Ray Fisher will be starring as Gene Mobley, the man who would have been Emmett Till’s stepfather and a devoted partner to Mamie Till. ⁠

Fisher is best known for his role as Victor Stone/Cyborg in Warner Brothers’ DC Cinematic Universe, “Justice League” as well as “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”.

Fisher states, “It is an honor to be joining Women of the Movement’s powerful portrayal of Mamie Till-Mobley’s journey."

We are pleased to announce that Oscar winner Timothy Hutton has joined our talented WOTM cast.

Chris Coy will be starring as J.W. Milam, half-brother of Roy Bryant. Together they were both responsible for the vicious murder of Emmett Till.⁠

Coy was a series regular on HBO’s The Deuce, Cinemax’s Banshee, recurred on AMC’s The Walking Dead, ABC’s Station 19, and Hulu’s Castle Rock. Chris will also be in the "Lucifer" episode airing on Sept 10 on Netflix. ⁠

Chris plays a vital role in our upcoming season of "Women of the Movement".⁠

Actor Carter Jenkins will play the critical role of Roy Bryant in our upcoming series, "Women of the Movement". Roy Bryant is one of the brutal murderers of Emmett Till.⁠

Jenkins recently starred in The Shadow Diaries. He wrote in one of his Instagram captions: “Honored to be joining these amazing storytellers on such a purposeful project .”⁠

Adrienne Warren will be starring as Mamie Till-Mobley, fierce mother of Emmett Till.⁠

Adrienne is also returning to her Broadway show, and will be joined by her original Broadway principal castmates of "Tina – The Tina Turner Musical" when the show returns to the stage in October.⁠

Cedric Joe is the incredibly talented, young actor playing Emmett Till in our upcoming series "Women of the Movement". Coming soon to ABC 2022. ⁠

The 16-year-old actor recently starred in the new and fun movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy, with Lebron James, Don Cheadle, Kyrie Irving, to name a few. ⁠

Both Cedric Joe and Emmett Till were born and raised in Chicago.⁠

The series revolves around Mamie Till-Mobley, Emmett Till's mother, and her powerful and brave actions in letting the world know of her son's story.⁠
