Gulf bicycle
group for cycling adventures
Well Farm to Fork turned into a great day/ride. So I left the crits before the third race because I was warn out. On the way back to the hotel I saw all the lighting and had to wait until it slowed. The doubletree was terrible but I personally had a great time the ride was long hilly and a little warmer by the end. 48 miles never felt so good to have done! It was very nice day. Only the last 8 miles or so was on the trace and it was cool and shaded. Perfect finish!
Winter is over! cycling season is here! I trained all Winter and it has paid off for me. This year I will be an ambassador for Spinergy bicycle wheels. and pactimo clothing both of which I love and use regularly. As you all know I love TTs and this year I have power meters on 2 bikes and I love the results that I am seeing. News flash new wheels coming this week!!

So I drove over to New Orleans yesterday. Well since my knee is bothering me from the 100 km on Sunday. I decided to just go see bike shops. Of the six google sent me to four were open and in business one looked abandoned like an incan temple and one was just a thrift store. Two only had retrospect cycles one was good with a different selection of interesting bikes. The last one was just specialized/townie/Kona. Are there any old school shops anymore??? I will try more later I was just kinda disappointed with them all..
Hello everyone, I know that I am terrible about updating information on this page but I am aware of my shortcomings and will not promise to do better. It is raining outside so my attention has turned to this page. I have a new bicycle and I am unable to ride it because of cold rainy weather. I would rather be out riding sorry!!
Well it is winter even though it doesn't feel like it here in Biloxi. That meant the old guys would switch to their fixed gear Bike to train. I have a fixed gear bike but I don't have clincher wheels and am not sure if my track tubular ties will even hold air!
Had a great October, faster every day!
I had the Graco Moto bike and My best friend had the Yamaha bicycle with the yellow and black film strip theme. That was in the 70s and mine was stolen and I would bet that Todd still has his Yamaha. Everyone else had Schwinn or knock offs for many years then I saw an ad in boys life for the new Schwinn sting, the coolest thing ever. I told my friend that was the future and I would be there.
My parents bought me a webco and the rest was history. After the webco broke I got a redline mx2 and rode it for years ( loved it) until another small bike shop opened in my town. He carried something new bianchi and I became a roadie for the first time. This is now the early 80s. More to come??
So we are getting rain from the small hurricane that hit Texas. Sorry for anyone who had trouble.
So someone asked about my bicycles the other day and it was kinda hard to explain so I realized that if I had many of the bike pictures in one place it would be easier to explain so indulgence me!
So I built this bike, it's a jamis taxi and My cousin had It in his shop for years. All it had was frame, fork, stem, cruiser bars and a front wheel. So I worked with the local bike shops Tri hard sports and Duncan Perkins hooked me up with the 3 speed Nexus rear wheel and the schwable tires and tubes. I got a bottom bracket adapter to use an English thread sealed cartridge bb. I already had some sungino superbe pro cranks (165) and some bear trap pedals. I got some new handle bars oury grips and an insight number plate. It has been a very fun project and it is super fun to ride. It is a 26 inch wheel and having a 50 tooth sprocket on the cranks makes it hard for me to push but it is getting easier every ride. I am out of my comfort zone and I think this is good for me. Sitting on a smaller frame with out full leg extension is making me use a whole new set of muscles. We shall see??
Rain sucks when you have to wait it out in a laundromat
Had a good ride up Mt. Biloxi this morning with Louis Henderson and he kinda kicked my butt
It is getting really hot 🔥 out there so drink plenty of fluids. Stay safe on your bicycles. Heat stroke is no joke
