Here is something important we should talk about:

Sometimes a chemical hair appointment will go into the 3 to 5 hour range depending on many factors.

It depends on what type of service you are receiving, how much hair you have, what the starting point is, if we have to cover greys, or how your hair processes.

To get that instagram filter hair but in real life, there are so many meticulous steps that must be taken to achieve a natural, gorgeous looking head of hair.

Most people don't want the unblended, chunky or cap highlighted, no toner look. You want the newest balayage, foilyage, teasylights, babylights, tip outs. You want icy blonde, honey blonde, pearl blonde, mushroom brown, bronde, caramel.

These new techniques and new colors take time and a lot of work. The application process can take up to a third of your total appointment for the seamless blended look.

Now this is a hard subject for some stylists to bring up and some clients to hear about because most people would like to be in and out of the salon. But realistically the only color that should be leaving the salon in under 2 hours is an all over color or a partial highlight.

But for the dramatic changes, or the natural looking result, patience is needed. Due to the complexity of each persons situation, several sessions may be required.

Most stylists will not rush you in and out of their chair because if they are perfectionists as I am, we want you looking your best when you leave our chair.

Your hair is important to us as it is important to you, so trust the process and time spent, because the end result will be well worth it.

So come in with your starbucks coffee, come in with your book and a snack if you'd like, come in ready to relax, and forget about the outside world for a few hours.
