Madsenarts was a dream of ours for many years. Preserving an artists legacy and his son returning to the creation and development of art brought us to where we are today.
The art goes on!
The dream began with promoting the art of Viggo Holm Madsen and keeping his name in the forefront of the art world. Viggo was an innovative artist and never stopped creating and finding new ways to create. Known as one of the countries best print-makers, he was also recognized as an innovator in batik making.
The art created by Kirk Holm Madsen returning to his roots and his love of his Fathers fiber work. Kirk creates fiber wall art in the many mediums of Shibori dye and perfect for living in Upstate New York “Ice Dye”. IN the form of wall art and apparel. And sometimes inspired by his rock ~n~ roll background !
Our own collection of Avalon and Fillmore posters brought us to the world of museum and exhibition posters. And of course, the posters that started it all! Family Dog Posters, handbills and cards.
