Congratulations to NYWN's #8 ranked rising junior, 𝑹𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑭𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒂, on locking up the first Fargo All-American distinction of his scholastic career!!!

Squaring off in the 132-pound 16U GR blood round against 2024 Idaho State runner-up, 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐠𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲, the 2x DI State medalist/2022 runner-up for Fork turned a 2-0 lead into an early day at the office when he exploded for a 4pt headlock and then tacked on a 2pt gut on the continuation of the sequence to polish off a dominant 8-0 TF in a time of 2:24!!

The Blue Devil standout has now prevailed in his last three trips to the mats after dropping his R16 bout last night!!

Seeded 12th in the bracket, he has already exceeded everyone's expectations but his own!!

His is the lone NYS 16U representative to earn AA honors this week in the Greco-Roman Discipline

Extending our deepest congrats to Forks' 𝑹𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑭𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒂 (pictured left), who wrapped up a 7-2 record on the mat moments ago to come away with a 6th-place effort in the 132-pound bracket of the 16U GR National Championships in Fargo!!

Both of his loss coming at the hands of 2024 Missouri State Champion, 𝐉𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧, in the R16 and the consolation semifinals; the former (2022) NYSPHSAA DI State runner-up was otherwise outstanding in battling his way back to the podium!!

Pitching three straight shutouts (23-0 margin) against respective state placers from Indiana [2x placer, 𝐆𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭], Idaho ['24 State runner-up, 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐠𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲], and Texas [2x medalist/2024 silver, 𝐊𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤i] by scores of 5-0, 8-0, and 10-0 in Consol 8 #1 thru consol 4, Ferrara strung together four dubs in a row [also had a 14-5 tech over PIAA Qualifier, 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧, to spark the rally)!!!

Unfortunately, in his more recent loss to Brown, Ferrara sustained an injury and elected to forfeit his 5th/6th contest!!

The first S4 wrestler regardless of age-group to garner All-American distinction in the Greco-Roman discipline since 2019 [𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙡; 16U 6th @113], between FS and GR, Ferrara got his arm raised on 10(!!!) separate occasions!!
