- [ ] In this world a Black Man is judged within seconds, just as he was when you first saw this picture. The internal pressures from external judgement are enough to destroy the mind of an individual until they succumb to them. But YOU DON’T KNOW. You don’t know the character of a man by his appearance. You won’t take the time to learn this young minister, business owner, friend, and SON before judgement is passed.

I release this photo in remembrance on what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 29th birthday. The days set forth in front of us are not promised. Especially as black men. I pray that each day we are blessed to see, we evade these harsh pressures the world has prescribed us, and rise as physicians to a broken world. 🖤

100th Post 🎊- In celebration of this milestone .era_photography would like to announce Project BLK🤎 A photography concept in celebration of Black Hair and Black Culture, through the exploration of different hair styles, hair textures, hair environments and hair accessories.

I aim to have a diverse representation through this project where anyone of African -American decent can participate as a model for FREE. Whether it’s braids, 30 in buss down or bald. WE WANT IT ALL!

This project is fluid and will include large set days, group shoots, headshots and spur of the moment photos. Some shoots will be intricately planned ahead and others may just happen along the quad. The beauty is within the diversity, so I look forward to being able to display my community all ages, all shades of melanin, all hairstyles. If you have been thinking about trying something crazy with your hair this is your sign!

I am proud to launch this project on this Juneteenth 2023 and cannot wait to continue to celebrate our
people through this project ✊🏾
