I made a beautiful walnut desk organizer tray as a Christmas gift.It has a place for sticky-notes, writing instrument, phone or note pad and a slot for additional small items (chapstick, ear buds etc.)

A customer ordered 11 nativities to give as Christmas gifts for teachers. Making so many identical items was another fun challenge. Send me a message if you'd like to order some for gifts next Christmas.

I used the bandsaw and scroll saw to cut the background and characters. I used a Steve Good pattern and made them from walnut and maple, finished with Danish oil.

The tray is made from re-purposed wood from an antique mirror stand which I believe is mahogany. The top and end are birds-eye maple and the bottom is curly maple. The inner tray pivots on a maple dowel. It is finished with Danish oil.

I was commissioned to make 10 floating canvas frames. It was a new challenge for me to make ten identical items, but it was fun and I think they all turned out well! They're oak with special-walnut stain, finished with General Finishes High Performance satin.

Scrap wood magnets! The light colored wood is maple, the reddish brown is sapele, the orange is padauk and the dark brown is walnut. For 2 I added a solid brass inlay for contrast and a more modern look.

I made a nesting bear with cub for a client who saw a similar creation in a store. I created a pattern, a test piece and finally the requested bear out of walnut and finished with Danish Oil.

I re-sawed some sweet gum logs last spring (first picture) and some walnut logs this fall. After they dry it'll be exciting to see what can be made with them!

Lisbon, Portugal is famous for its glazed ceramic tiles. This tile is from an antique shop in Lisbon that I framed in walnut (finished with Danish oil).

I finished up this simple jewelry box a few days ago. It's cherry with a birds-eye maple top finished with Danish oil.
The unicorn is also made of cherry.

I made a sampling of nativity puzzles with different wood combinations. Woods types are walnut, padauk, curly maple, cherry, sapele and one unknown wood. Which one is your favorite?
