so just recently i’ve started doing cream contouring/bronzing & also liquid blush! i would do these steps after applying the concealer—— but once i started applying the concealer last… the whole game changed & here’s why! 👇🏽 1. IMPROVED MAPPING when defining the bone structure first with contour/bronzer, it is easier to go back in & determine exactly where you want to bring light back into the face with the concealer. 2. SAVES PRODUCT since you are applying the concealer last you naturally won’t use as much because the points of highlighting will be very focused & you won’t feel the need to use as much concealer. 3. SAVES TIME i find that i spend less time highlighting once the contouring is already done. since you won’t use as much concealer, you won’t have to spend as much time blending. okay so when i first started doing makeup i would allow my clients to bring there kids but this became a hassle for the following reasons: 1. Most of these kids wanted to sit on mom’s lap which would interfere with mom being able to sit still. Kids moving in your lap causes you to move as well which slows me down and can also mess me up since makeup is so tedious. 2. Limited space. My work area is very small and intimate. Therefore, I don’t have any extra room for children, or extra guest period. 3. Kids slow us down. I like to have the girlies IN & OUT. And most times moms have to constantly stop to tend to their kids. 4. This is a luxury service that I provide and kids take away from that on both ends. Let this be a get away from your kids while you enjoy getting pampered in peace. 5. Last but not least. Destruction. I’ve had kids knock stuff over in my suite which can lead to damage of furniture & also they can knock over makeup that’s being used at the moment which can be messy & an inconvenience. To avoid any extra conflict I just concluded that the appointment would go a lot smoother for both client & service provider if the kids stay home.
