Seven years ago, Lindsey and Tyler Rogers had no idea how the Lord would use their fostering journey to transform their entire family. Through fostering, Lindsey’s eyes were opened to the realities of life for many kids. This ignited a desire in her to advocate even more for kids in foster care.

“We knew opening our home and hearts to children and their families from hard places was not going to be easy. Instead, we knew it would be difficult and uncomfortable. But Jesus didn't live in the easy and comfortable and neither should we. We were being called for this great need, and we were going to be obedient no matter the cost it placed on us.”

Through volunteering with ABCH, the Lord led the McAlpins to open their hearts and home as foster parents. Amanda continues, “Our Heavenly Father is using foster care to teach us more of His great love, mercy, and grace for us. He has allowed us the joy of using what He has given us to invest in the lives of others for His Kingdom through our family, our church, and through ABCH.”

We are grateful to families like the McAlpins, who answered the call to care for hurting foster kids.

Each summer we choose an area of our ministry to specifically highlight through a summer match campaign. This year, the summer match focus was our new work in Huntsville. Our goal was $150,000 and God used your gift to help us exceed our goal and raise $210,000 for our future efforts to help children and families in the Huntsville area!

Hunter and Jordan Cory signed up to become foster parents to help kids who needed a safe, loving home. Little did they know that God would use the kids who came into their home to do abundantly more than they ever expected.

As a widow and an empty nester, Jane had abundant love to share — that is when the Lord placed foster care on her heart.

Her first placement, Nora,* was just three days old when she entered Jane’s home.

Jane felt honored to have the privilege of caring for a small, vulnerable baby.

She will tell you, though, that she wasn’t able to do it alone. “I can honestly say it takes a village when you are a foster parent. Everyone pulls together whenever there is a need.”

God provided her with a village through her church, family, and the generosity of donors like you.

Our annual Camp of Champions is this weekend! Here are 5 ways you can pray!

Heroes protect the vulnerable, restore the broken, and bring hope in desperate situations.

Hero Partners is a monthly giving program. As a Hero Partner, your monthly gift provides food, clothing, and toiletries. Although they may seem insignificant, these essential items give a foster child a sense of security, knowing their needs are being met.

Camp of Champions is a 3-day, 2-night summer camp experience at Shocco Springs in Talladega, Alabama.

It’s designed to serve our foster families and their children. While the parents complete training to maintain licensure, their kids get the opportunity to join with other kids like them to participate in camp activities and have fun!

For some kids, it's the first time they realize there are others like them going through similar experiences and struggles. It also provides families with the chance to enjoy themselves, bond, and form connections with others who understand both the joys and challenges of foster parenting.
