Dogwood Studio Creations

It is really a lot of fun to create things with what you have on hand. I brought a very limited amount of stamps, inks and papers with me. So here are a few more cards I was able to put together with the DSP I brought, my couple ink pads beside black I brought and the white and pecan pie card stock I brought. I love the challenge this made!

I have been taking some time to do some painting and cardmaking while here in Virginia. It is so beautiful and peaceful here- very inspiring! Here are a few things I have done so far. I am working on another that is not quite finished. It is the view outside our door. Will share when it is done. Anxious to do one commemorating the gorgeous azaleas blooming now.

It has been awhile since I posted any cards so I thought I would take a moment to share some. These are some cards I did for a couple classes at Treasured Creations in Blairsville, GA. I put my stamp lady hat on this weekend and made a few cards up to add to my “home” stash. Now the card with the little bunny on it is actually a repurposed card. I loved it when I received it from my sister-in- law and brother-in-law for Easter before so saved it. I decided to to repurpose it and make it into a card to send back to them this Easter! Hope they like it. The others were left over kits from a class I taught last week here in Blairsville . It showed how you could take on layout, or one stamp and change it out for various occasions. I also showed a way to use tape or a post-it note to create a mask. I teach at Treasured Creations here in Blairsville monthly. Next month, we will try a technique using called floating reinkers to create beautiful dimensional looking flowers (spring is almost here, so let’s get a good start!). Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so I have had “Love” on my mind! Made a few cards to be mailed out and some treats to be given to my sorority sisters at our Valentine dinner.

I guess I haven’t posted on here for awhile! I guess I have too many pages that I miss this one. Check out my other Dogwood Studio Creations for up to date info and my Stamping page.

Hi Everyone! I haven't posted anything here in awhile but hope you are catching my posts in my group of the same name - Dogwood Studio Creations. Interested in being a member of that group, just message me and I will send you an invite.

So what have we been doing lately? Vickie and I are getting ready for the Peachtree Craft Bazaar on Nov. 12 at the Peachtree, NC Community Center and the Holiday Stop and Shop the first weekend of December, here in Blairsville. We also have held our monthly Chalk Workshops at my house and did a Chalk Party last evening for 10. I will be teaching a card class in September at Treasured Creations and then a Chalk class two weeks later also at Treasured Creations. Check out her page for information on those classes. We have a cute little sign for Autumn for our workshop next month and then a beautiful three piece set with the Magi following the Star for October. You won't want to miss either.

Congratulations! Kathy Anderson Nelson for thinking outside the box! I love what you did with the checkerboard you found at Goodwill! That is part of the fun of chalking - you can find such neat things to repurpose and create something new! Who would not want to display this or your welcome sign in their home?
