I have the honor of having been offered a position with a local builder. As this will consume a full normal work week, I necessarily have taken the decision to stop taking orders for new custom tables and other furniture, effective immediately. I will be finishing the work I currently have in the shop, but will not be taking any new orders.

I will, however, continue building tables and benches in my spare time, and making them available for purchase as time allows.

Can you see the difference? I've applied a coat of gilding wax in Grecian Gold to rejuvenate the legs on this beautiful smoking table. Typically I would rub it on with my finger, but they're still a little sensitive from the injuries I had a couple months ago. In this case, I used a small brush, painted it on, the rubbed it out with a paper towel.

I was given the opportunity to rejuvenate an antique desk and chair, so I decided to make a video of the process. The only thing missing is a final walk-around of the desk to show off its beauty.

This beautiful coffee table is made from a heart-of-pine beam reclaimed from an old mill in Michigan. Finished with our house blend Danish oil brings out the rich red and deep yellow colors. My latest creation, a fusion of copper and pine. This bench is 40 inches long, 12 inches deep, and 17 inches tall. It's finished in natural color using our house blend Danish oil. This bench is available for purchase; $179.

The Japanese technique, shou sugi ban, shrinks the cells of the wood, making it less permeable to all the factors that can damage it over time. Plus we get to play with fire!
