Scholarship Opportunity 🦈📚

To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the online application and submit it by the due date, September 6, 2024.

Scholarship recipients will be given a choice to attend one or both days of the conference (October 23 or October 24). Each selected recipient that attends will receive a continental breakfast and lunch. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for any travel and hotel accommodations.

Internships offer valuable hands-on experience, fostering empathy, personal growth, and the opportunity to make a difference!

Great things are happening for our USCB Human Services Students! 🎉 Internships are a vital part of our program and prepare students for professions in human services, through various experience-based internships.

Hannah is in her third internship at USCB and shares her experiences at Guardian Ad Litem (GAL).

Jean Piaget is one of many physiologists whose theories may be applied to understanding your work and clients as a Human Services Professional.

The field of Human Services works to meet human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base. Through focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems, and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life of service populations.

In addition to Human Services courses, the program draws heavily from the disciplines of sociology and psychology.

One of the most distinctive and outstanding aspects of USCB’s Human Services program is the experience-based internship component. Each of the three internship courses requires at least 120 hours of service in a supervised human service setting.

The Human Services bachelor’s degree program at the University of South Carolina Beaufort is an interdisciplinary program that includes theories, skills and practices for working with individuals, small groups and larger groups in human services settings.
