About me:

I am a mother of 2 special needs children.

My oldest is 5 and was just recently diagnosed with Autism. He has the Austim gene and it took 3 ADOS test to come to the conclusion of this diagnosis because each test the score went up. He has been attending public school the last 2 school years. The first year he attended virtually. I will tell you that was a struggle all on its own. The second year he attended half days to get him adjusted to going to school. This school year he will be attending all day.

My youngest is 2. She has been diagnosed with eczema. She has Sensory Processing Disorder. She will be evaluated for Autism before the end of the year. We know it is going to be harder to diagnose her because it is harder to diagnose in girls.

We just started homeschooling both kids over the summer because we believe that my oldest has a learning disability that makes it even harder to remember things. We wanted to start our daughter in case she had this disability and if she doesn’t, it doesn’t hurt to start earlier. She has been flourishing with school so far.
