🍎 Earlier this summer, MBMS teachers and staff helped deliver for Oconee Area Resource Council’s Summer Food for Kids. We are thankful for this program and the volunteers who help prepare and deliver to 95 families in our community throughout the summer!
☕️ We enjoyed having ESP’s Java Joy visit MBMS during post-planning today. They served delicious cups of coffee and spread joy to all this afternoon!
♥️⚡️🖤 The Bolts are officially on summer break and Dr. Smith completed his final afternoon of bus duty! Bolts, thank you for a great 2023-2024 school year!
⚡️The weather was beautiful for our Bolt Fun Day sponsored by MBMS Bolt PTO! From games, snow cones, a photo booth, music, and more, students had a great time with their friends!

⚡️We didn’t expect anything less from these Bolts! They were fast, loud, fun, and full of spirit! Congratulations to Mrs. Kinchen’s homeroom for winning the championship belt!
🎓 While we didn’t get a picture of all of them that visited, we loved seeing some former Bolts in the halls of MBMS one more time! Congratulations, North Oconee High School Class of 2024! We are so proud of you!

⚡️Seventh grade students and teachers did not let the weather rain on their parade, and Field Day was a success! They were so loud, so awesome, and full of so much spirit! Congratulations to Mrs. Williams’s homeroom for winning the championship belt!
⚡️At last night’s Oconee County Schools Board meeting, students of our morning announcement team presented our MBMS Points of Pride. They shared about the many ways our Bolts and stakeholders receive news and announcements about MBMS. Great job, Blakely, Elizabeth, Burke, and Lincoln!
Our morning announcement team do a great job every morning leading our school in the Pledge of Allegiance and delivering announcements about club meetings, student achievements, sports updates, and more. Thank you for starting each day for our Bolts and showing kindness, respect, and leadership!
⚡️Remember the last day is a half day and dismissal is at noon! Finish strong!

⚡️Our 8th grade students and teachers had a full day of fun at Funopolis and ended the day with Kona Ice. We are enjoying our last days with these Bolts as they wrap up their middle school years at MBMS!
⚡️ We enjoyed hosting Step Up Day for the rising sixth grade students from MBES, HSES, and RBES! Thank you to our cheerleaders, Malcom Bridge Middle School Band, MBMS Chorus & Drama, Bolt Ambassadors, FCCLA, and Mrs. Whiten and Dr. Sikes for a successful morning welcoming our future Bolts to MBMS!
👏 Thank you to the MBMS yearbook staff for their dedication and talent in producing an outstanding yearbook that highlights our year! Also, a huge shoutout to our yearbook advisor, Mrs. Dorsey! She spends many hours and works closely with our students in the creation of our yearbook.
📸 Students enjoyed reading the pages in their new yearbooks, reminiscing about the year, and getting friends and teachers to sign pages. We hope our Bolts always remember their 2023-2024 school year at MBMS!
📢 Thank you to the MBMS Communication Team! From the morning announcements to the school website to the scrolling slides on the TVs around the school to our social media posts, this team makes sure our Bolts and community know what is going on at MBMS!
⚡️Sixth Grade Field Day was a blast! The Bolts were competitive, loud, fast, strong, and fun! They had so much team spirit and showed tons of good sportsmanship! Congratulations to Mrs. Stephens’s Smashers for winning the championship belt!
👏 Coach Rudell and Coach Wells deserve a major shout out! They planned, organized, and ran a *full day* of events for our students. Thank you!
👏 Also, thank you to the sixth grade teachers! They pumped up the Bolts all day long and participated in so many teacher events!
