It is difficult for me to discuss my disability. I tend to just keep my low vision a secret generally and/or not draw any attention to it. Over many years of my life I tried desperately to believe that my disability didn’t define me as a person. But thanks to the support of my community of friends, family, and colleagues, I realized the true value of my vision and how it has impacted my personal and professional perspective and motivations.
