Last Friday, we were honored to be recognized by the Donna J. Beasley Tri-County Apprenticeship Academy for our support in growing the workforce in SW Florida. At the awards dinner, we celebrated the graduation of 45 students from their apprenticeship training program. We are proud to continue our sponsorship of their scholarship program.

We’re proud to share a moment from the event with State Rep. Lauren Melo, our VP David Ellis, and Christine Sardina, the Academy’s Director.

We’re also honored to announce that Heatherwood Construction will be the construction manager for the new Donna J. Beasley Training Academy starting next month!

Heatherwood Construction is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking of a new project for Collier County—a 9,800 sq. ft. Maintenance Facility at Pelican Bay, complete with two additional storage facilities. This exciting project, engineered by Davidson Engineering, is being managed by our Senior Project Manager, Sean Krizen, with Tom Lancaster serving as Superintendent. The Primrose School in Wesley Chapel is advancing smoothly! As a private charter school spanning 13,000 sq ft with completion scheduled for October 2024, the new Wesley Chapel location marks our third partnership with Primrose Schools. This project showcases our commitment to delivering top-tier construction solutions for educational facilities. Last Friday afternoon, Heatherwood Construction enjoyed great food, great fun, and some friendly competition at our inaugural BBQ/Co****le Tournament! Congratulations to Rick Mercer and Scott Whiteleather for dominating the competition and clinching the championship title! This Del Webb Community is going to receive a brand-new Clubhouse with a fitness center, indoor and outdoor dining, and a resort-style pool. Heatherwood is nearing completion on the first of eight new low-income housing developments in Immokalee for the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance. We are always proud to be involved in these projects that help give back to the community. Congratulations to Christopher Lewandowski the recipient of the 2023-2024 Heatherwood Construction Scholarship. He is a Junior at Florida Gulf Coast University pursuing a degree in Construction Management. Christopher is a Southwest Florida local with aspirations to work in both residential and commercial construction and eventually start his own company.
