"I don't want to know what time it is. I don't want to know what day it is or where I am. None of that matters."
-Christopher McCandless
Wanna know something? People in Seattle buy more sunglasses than any other city in the world despite the rain.
Okay back to our regularly scheduled program! PNW Neature!
Ain’t the Snoqualmie Falls just so- 🤩
"What a strange thing! To be alive beneath cherry blossoms."
— Kobayashi Issa
The Smith Tower was built in 1914 and was not only Seattle’s tallest building, but the tallest building on the west coast, until the Space Needle was build in 1962! It’s entirely clad in granite and terra cotta, creating that beautiful exterior that’s so well known among Seattleites!
Seattle has a fascinating history. The underground streets are an amazing set of subterranean sidewalks and passageways that were once the main center of the city!
I’ve always enjoyed the Underground Tour, it is so fascinating and the tour guides are always so entertaining! If you’ve never been, you should!
The sunset on Sunday must have been beautiful because the clouds were surreal 🤩
Saw this dude in the window of the Tacoma Youth Theater wandering the around the city one night. Seeing people's artistic abilities on display is always so inspiring!

I am grateful to be a woman. I must have done something great in another life.
Happy International Woman’s Day!

"Moss is inconceivably strong. Moss eats stone; scarcely anything, in return, eats moss. Moss dines upon boulders, slowly but devastatingly, in a meal that lasts for centuries. Given enough time, a colony of moss can turn a cliff into gravel, and turn that gravel into topsoil."
- Elizabeth Gilbert
Sunday it was overcast almost all day. It was cold. It snowed. It was an all around gloomy Washington day. And while that is genuinely beautiful in it's own right, this was what was happening above that overcast sky. Blue skies as far as the eye can see.
A gentle reminder that the sun always shines above the clouds 💕

For as much as I complain about the snow, I always miss it when it melts.
A snowy day is beautiful in every way. It looks magical, it smells good, and it's quiet in ways no other days can be.

Located at the corner of Royal Street and Ursuline Avenue, this French Quarter pharmacy has been owned and operated by the same family since the 1930s!
Wasn't open at all when I was there which is a shame because from what I can see online, it's beautiful inside!
“The first thing you notice about New Orleans are the burying grounds - the cemeteries - and they're a cold proposition, one of the best things there are here. Going by, you try to be as quiet as possible, better to let them sleep. Phantomesque, signs and symbols of hidden decay - ghosts of women and men who have sinned and who've died and are now living in tombs."
From now on sweet dreams are made of beignets and partying in New Orleans!
“An American has not seen the United States until he has seen Mardi Gras in New Orleans.”
– Mark Twain
“If a man must be obsessed by something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps a bit better than most.”
― E. B. White
"Any architectural work that does not express serenity is an error"
- Luis Barragán
I have always loved beautiful architecture, but there is something about Federal Style that draws me in the most. The symmetry, brickwork, decorative doors/windows. It just feels like home.
