We are so proud of our Explorer!
Today, our 4th and 5th grade Explorers showcased their grit and determination at the track meet. With every stride, they embodied the spirit of exploration and pushed themselves to new heights. We are so proud to watch them race towards their goals with passion and perseverance. Go Explorers, way to show them what you’re made of!💚💙
Since we have not had to cancel school due to inclement weather, there is no school on both Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day) and Tuesday, May 28, which was reserved for an emergency weather makeup day.
Please note: No school also means there will be no childcare or preschool.
Nancy Hertzog, UW College of Eduction Professor, engaged many of our teachers in professional development around project based learning for our highly capable and high achieving students! Such an awesome experience to help us continue to know, value, and support every student. Way to go Explorers! SBLSD
We are so grateful for our amazing teachers this week, and always! Thank you for all that you do to know, value and support every student. You are truly the heart of our school ❤️
We may be bias, but we would argue that we have the best PTA out there! Thank you for always spoiling us. ❤️

It’s an event that’s not quite like any other. The collective commitment and support from our community to make this single item food drive happen is truly extraordinary. We are so lucky to live in a community that comes together in support of a greater cause.
Our Explorers bound their efforts to raise cereal boxes for GoodRoots Northwest. With the lead from our amazing 2nd and 3rd grade teachers and students we made a profound impact for our local food bank. We can’t thank you all enough for the role you played in this. 🥣🥰

Mrs. Schneider accepted the role of being duct taped to the wall during the domino run if we could bring in 500 boxes over the weekend. We would like to announce that we met that goal and then some! Look out for the video and pictures tomorrow of our domino run.
We're thrilled to witness the incredible generosity and community spirit during our ongoing Cereal Drive! As a reminder, our goal for this year's drive is to collect a total of 6,000 cereal boxes to support those in need in our community. With your continued support, we're confident we can reach and even exceed this goal!
To make things exciting this weekend, Mrs. Schneider has gladly accepted a special challenge. If we collect 500 more cereal boxes by Monday afternoon she will be duct taped to the gym wall during the domino run!
We want to ensure that no one misses out on the opportunity to contribute, so please mark your calendars: the last day to donate is March 27th. Let's make every effort to reach our target and make a significant impact together!
We had a special visit from our local Rotary Club at DEE today! Our amazing 3rd graders received their very own dictionaries and got a lesson on how to use them as a resource. Thank you to our Rotary Club members for their generosity and commitment to supporting our students' education.
Led by our students, we will be collecting cereal boxes for our annual “Munch Madness” drive! All donations will go toward supporting our local food bank. By working together to collect donations, the students are showcasing the value of cooperation in helping those in need. Help us reach our goal of 6,000 boxes this year!
Celebrating 100 days of learning by dressing like we’re 100 years old! 👵🏼👴🏼✏️
The support shown for our recent levy is due to the collective effort and belief in our mission to know, value, and support every student. We can’t thank you enough, Voters!
Our 3rd graders are having a blast in STEM class! They're using a computer coding system to make their Ozobots travel on a paper trail they created. It's amazing to see their creativity and problem-solving skills in action. Way to go, future coders!
We have the best PTA! A special thank you to our amazing community/families for helping make it all happen for our kids!
Mrs. Kerley’s first graders read an encouraging and uplifting story about perseverance and striving to achieve the things we can’t do quite *yet*! They each made their own little *Magical Yet* friend.
Always flitting nearby, ready to cheer them on, lift them up after their mistakes, and encourage them to keep on practicing and trying again~ their *Magical Yet* reminds them that if they can’t do something, they just can’t do it yet. Keep doing hard things, Explorers! 📚🦄
