Had a wonderful time in San Diego this weekend at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. This conference brings together national and international dermatologists for a truly educational weekend! This year, over 18,000 people attended the meeting! 👩🏻‍⚕️ I was invited to serve as Co-Director for the Hands-on Laser Course. This is a one-of-a-kind double session featuring over 24 laser & energy-based devices demonstrated by over 45 expert faculty members over the course of two 3 hour sessions. This is a video demonstration of placing intraocular shields in preparation for laser treatment on the eyelids. If a laser treatment is being performed on the eyelids, or within the bony orbit, intraocular metal eye shields must be used. Placement of eye shields is not painful.
