The NBA Hype Train 2022 keeps rolling and even the captain himself, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is not immune. LeBron James recent comments (or lack of) about his not having a relationship with Abdul-Jabbar had the iconic Lakers legend walking back his jabs at The King on CNN with Jake Tapper. But it wasn't until the talking heads of the sports entertainment media got a hold of the story and actually refuted Kareem's comments on LBJ. The whole drama only suited for Los Angeles got us think about another iconic LA Lakers legend.

Wilt Chamberlain.

The only other time the celebrated scoring record was at challenge, it was in the early/mid 1980's when the stoic, sometimes aloof Jabbar was just as destined to surpass Chamberlain as we all in the media want to hype up LeBron leap frogging the Sky Hook. The coincidence and irony of both stories is obvious so CLNS Founder, Nick Gelso discussed the similarities along side SVP of Brand Partnerships, Guy Neer.
