Cornell Hotel Society - New England Chapter
Welcome to the Cornell Hotel Society, New England Chapter.
Founded in 1925, we are Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration oldest and largest regional alumni chapter.
Recap from The St. Regis Residences Boston Tour last week! We had an incredible time touring the beautiful property. Huge thanks to the General Manager Paul Roche for showing us around! And thanks to for having us afterwards! 🤩

A similar message was shared with the entire Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) community earlier this week — but it’s worth repeating here in our regional chapter community as well.
Being a means many things, but one thing is clear: family, friendship, and community matter especially for us Hotelies.
Earlier this month, our beloved former GM of The Statler Hotel at Cornell University and current CHS global board member Rick Adie '75 invited Cornell SHA grads from all over our Cornell Hotel Society - New England Chapter to his Stratham, NH home for a gathering. Altogether, a multigenerational group of 40 Hotelies and family members attended the get-together, spanning 50 years from the Class of 1969 all the way to 2019!
Guests were also treated to Finger Lakes wines and Ithaca beers, courtesy of Richy Petrina '01, as well as received a copy of Ethan Hawkes '07 new book "The Book on Time: An Owner's Manual for the Time of Your Life".
A special thanks to Rick for continuing our Big Red tradition of extending generous hospitality to each and every Hotelie you meet, and for your many years exemplifying and embodying the legacy.
As we continue to brainstorm and plan Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) chapter events for 2021 and beyond, let's have another look back at one of our annual favorites - the holiday party! Here we are enjoying each other's company at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in 2017 - looking forward to bringing events like this back safely in the future months ahead!
As we prepare to begin hosting in-person Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) chapter events again, we wanted to take a look back at some of our favorite events from the pre-pandemic days. First up - one of our favorite happy hours from a few years ago, a great-looking group of us at City Winery Boston! Details on our upcoming event coming soon!
Let's have a big congratulations and thank you to Jim Carmody '81 (pictured far right) who, after nearly 17 years running the Seaport Hotel Boston, will be leaving the Boston area for warmer Floridian weather as he begins a new chapter as General Manager of The Cloister and Bungalows at The Boca Raton Resort and Club.
Jim - we thank you so much for being such a well-loved and respected leader in Boston’s hospitality industry, and for your constant generosity as a charitable supporter of our local Cornell Hotel Society chapter.
We feel very fortunate for your service to our entire New England region, and we wish you all the best in your next endeavor! https://bit.ly/JamesCarmody
