Some stones just stick out in your mind. This 4ct Ceylon Sapphire was definitely one of those stones that will forever live in my mind palace!!! This adventure was a Heirloom reset into a Snowdrift design!

On the bench today!!! 3 stone bezel with blueish green focal and white side marquise!

Happy monday y'all!!! What a freaking awesome start to the week! I set this absolutely insane new Amplify Toi et Moi new design from !! It features 2 fancy green diamonds, one bezel set and the other 2 prong set! This was so unique and different from our normal collection it was thrilling to work on! I really really love the two tones of the diamonds it is giving the same vibe as our old Bells of Ireland mini cluster.

Spent the last two days on this absolutely stunning pear cut!! Set into a distance band design! I absolutely adore pear cuts... my alltime favorite cut!!!

Fun little side project for yours truly! I decided what was really missing in my life was.... A collar pin!!! Lol I am volunteering at a gala tonight and wanted something blue to wear! So quickly hand cut settings for these beautiful blue zircon in sterling silver. I then used a small tap and die set to thread the bar and back of the two settings. Gave the settings my signature scribble texture and a quick scrub later we are done!!!

Special thanks to for letting me borrow their mill grain tools! And to for the blue zircon, they were in a mixed parcel of unidentified stones she gifted me! I thought they were aquamarine at first but under magnification I determined they were Zircon!!

Soooo this amazing green Sapphire is on my bench right now!!! It is getting set into a white gold snowdrift!! I am so excited I just can't help it!! It is so gemy and deep in color I am obsessed! Can't wait to set this beauty!

Also the extraordinary snapped this shot of me the other day and I freaking love it!!! I was sizing a wide white gold men's band up and needed to anneal it a few times. The light in the studio if fantastic and is usually a dream to work in. But in this case it was annoying ... I really wanted to be careful how much heat I was putting on the ring since it was getting annealed so many times that I ended up holding my hand over the ring to try and really see the color change! I am proud to report I did not burn myself... this time!

Soooo this amazing green Sapphire is on my bench today!!! (Insert drilling face here) it's 3 ct. And getting set into a white gold snowdrift! I am so excited I just can't help but share!!!! It is so beautifully gemy and deep. It's really going to be the highlight of my day/ week/ month/ whole year???

Also the extraordinary captured this awesome shot of me annealing a white gold ring the other day! That was a fun little challenge. It needed to be stretching up quite a bit so I ended up annealing it a few times and plannishing the metal in-between annealing and stretching. White gold can be such a tricky alloy to manipulate but once you get it down it is stunning! I have amazing light in the studio but every...once and a while it get in the way. Because I was annealing so many times I really wanted to watch the gold color change so I kept trying to hold my hand over the ring as I was heatting it up so I knew right when to stop!!!

Today's adventure was this mind blowing elongated cushion cut! Set in a snowdrift design in yellow gold. The moment the sun hit this stone I knew this was a special stone! It positively glows in the light. It is a great representation of how great cutting on a stone can really elevate it to a whole other level!

I absolutely adore cushion cuts and elongated cushion cuts, the more rectangular the better in my mind! I really love the soft edge and pillow effect/shape. A bit tricky to set because they want to twist in the setting as you press the prongs over but once you get it right...wow!!!

Got a new macro lens for my camera so had to continue this still shot adventure I'm on with sizing up this stunning Yellow Orange Sapphire! Since it is a colored stone we were careful to submerge the stone in water to make sure no heat damaged its beauty!

Had an amazing weekend at an Airbnb on an active farm!!! It was beyond delightful to totally disconnect and tune out for a few days. We got to wake up, step out the door, feed some baguettes to some cows, walk the fields for hours, and then come home and curl up in front of the fire with a great book!

Dusted off my Canon and tried my hand at some still shots while making this Windlass Sapphire ring! I have been feeling more inspired recently to be creative and I feel photographing could be a fun sidekick on my adventure! BTW I particularly loved the cut on this little beauty!

Spent a lovely day at the with my stunning wife Alexandra!!! Today was the first day of their exhibition!

Worked on a family heirloom reset and it came out amazing! Gave new life to some diamonds in an old necklace. Of course I forgot to take any videos of the process. But I poured and ingot and drew down the wire to custom bezels for each stone. Such a fun side project!!
