Shout out to Tina Marquis! Tina helped coordinate the postcard writing and made sure all the audiovisual from the convention worked. Heard from parents of one of the hostages held by Hamas.
Postcard writing with Dem women and Blue Wave! Not certain how many postcards we wrote (I am sure thousands!) to send to Montana. So great to be with so many engaged women (and a few men).
Thank you, Planned Parenthood for your support of women's health and your endorsement for Colorado State School Board!

CPR's Jenny Brundin's article sums up Kathy's race...
In a race marked by an extraordinary last minute infusion of money, longtime Boulder school board member Kathy Gebhardt has claimed victory in the Democratic primary for the Board of Education seat representing Congressional District 2. She beat Marisol Rodriguez, an education consultant, who conceded the race.
As of Tuesday night, Gebhardt led Rodriguez, 56 percent to 44 percent.
Because there’s no Republican in the race, a victory will give Gebhardt a virtual lock on the seat, which covers Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont and several mountain towns.
Gebhardt will replace Angelika Schroeder, a Democrat who has served on the board since 2009.
“I feel like we have shown that people's voices matter more than money and more than dark money,” said Gebhardt. “I feel like people have spoken in support of public education and their public schools.”

On the road with Lesley Smith at the Clear Creek County Dems recent meeting. Great to gather with passionate and committed democrats — I always love meeting with them!
Grateful to receive the endorsement of Benita Duran, former Executive Director, Office of Community Engagement for Denver Public Schools!
From Paula Noonan's opinion in CO Politics: As of June 18, the “Progressives” committee, a front for the Colorado League of Charter Schools, has spent $1.13 million on mail, TV ads and social media in support of Rodriguez or against Gebhardt to buy this Colorado state board of education seat...Gebhardt has raised $71,000 for her campaign. Of that, she’s received about $9,000 from the local unions in the CD2 district. Her remaining contributors are the many individuals who know her work as president of the Boulder Valley School Board and as a public school finance attorney who argued the case that set the stage for the state’s BEST funds to build, equalize and improve school facilities. The result of the BEST case ensures all kids have a fair shot at decent physical infrastructure for their education.
In 2019, I received a flag flown at the CO State Capitol from Governor Polis, in honor of my work on the BEST funding. The latest figure from the Colorado Department of Education: Including matching dollars, the total construction value of all projects awarded BEST grants is about $3.7 billion!
With the incomparable Dorothy Rupert at the Frasier Retirement Community for a discussion on public education.
Grateful for the endorsement of Boulder Valley School Board member, Jorge Chavez!
